Flame Free Confession III: Even More Flame Free (Part 1)

are you not?

No. I enjoy pleasure and loathe pain. Much more a fan of fatty meat.

same, but fatty meat usually turns pleasure into digestive pain before I’m mentally satisfied.

Shred it and put it on nachos. I guess that’s not clean anymore, but I can put it away in that setting.

Agreed. You almost get to a point where the hungrier you feel, the better you feel because with every day that goes by with you feeling hungry yet sticking to the diet, you know you’re getting closer to the goal.

Unlike growing muscle, when it comes to dieting hard I can almost associate that feeling of hunger with ā€œfeeling the fat coming off.ā€ You can sense the progress day by day.

Sure, that feeling kicks in after a few weeks of hard dieting, but when it does, I feel like it can counteract part of the suck by itself.

I have my broiling settings down to an art/science so that chicken breasts turn out nearly perfect and juicy more often than not.

Yeah: that is what I am saying. It needs added fat.

Maybe with added fat for cooking and covered in melted cheese. Yum.

Yeah, I haven’t eaten chicken breast in a while and I don’t miss it.

Funnily enough, it’s easier for me to stick to low calories with a pantry full of processed junk since that stuff just doesn’t tempt me

If there’s fruit in the fridge however, it’s going in my mouth

There is no single food I can’t resist when I’m dieting seriously, but if I had to pick something that tempts me the most when I see it in the fridge (because my father likes to buy that stuff): pre-packaged hamburgers and ham+cheese wraps, breaded meat with cheese, veggie-stuffed meatloaf, and crispy pancakes. Basically I’m more of a salty junk guy, than sweats.

As someone with gluten and dairy intolerances, my toilet cried reading that list :joy::joy:

I can relate. I don’t have problems with either gluten or diary, but my gut turns inside out every time I see someone mentioning eggs on here (which is more often than I’d like, as I used to be a BIG fan of them).

I recently found out that egg yolks were the cause of my post breakfast digestive issues. Makes me really sad since runny yolks were my favourite

If you don’t take the skin off and don’t overcook it then chicken breast is okay. Cut directly off the bone of a whole bird (rather than bought as a breast) makes it much better.

Coated in a spicy, beer based batter, cut into handsized pieces and deep fried (on the bone) and it is great (but not the best part of the chicken). A crisp beer on the side to finish

I’d marinate in milk or soy sauce with a bit of hot sauce mixed in first

Batter frying gets greasy, I’d prefer a nice charred broil

Now I’m curious … what caused your aversion to eggs?
