Gotcha. That’s an idea I had too initially and I tested it with two long sticks I had. Unfortunately they end up being way too close to each other. The two rails on top of the thing are, ironically, at a perfect distance.
Of course, I’m looking for the best bang for my buck here.
Gymnastic rings an option for you?
Maybe. I was about to buy them when we found that thing in the basement. However if I’m gonna spend money on something, that should probably add some value. What could I do with rings I can’t already do?
Maybe I should buy a couple of dumbbells, if I can some around 20 lb or something that aren’t too expensive, so I can at least do lateral raises, curls etc.
My supermarket has a sale on paper products, including toilet paper, where if you spend $40 you get $10 off.
I’ve been trying to stock up on Charmin, because it’s my tush’s favorite, and imo the stuff is normally way overpriced. 3 attempts, shelves are empty, WTF??? Now I find out that drinking Corona beer has led to a run (pun intended) on toilet paper -WTF???
I confess that my thought is that there is a pandemic of people shitting themselves over catching The Virus…too soon?
I also confess that there must be a lesson somewhere in the fact that the virus (apparently) does not affect kids.
I guess it’s that growing up sucks
Seriously, one of the things I tell people all the time is that we are “programmed” to wither, wizen and wilt as we age. Exercise is the only panacea that can slow this evolutionary programming. Unfortunately, the desire to exercise as we age (I’m 57+) is pandemicly (new word) absent.
For some reason, I wouldn’t have guessed!
Yes, it appears almost every sign of aging is slowed down from lifting weights. Loss of muscle, of bone density, decrease in strength, decline in cardiovascular health…
I embrace my inner immaturity.
The Dad jokes didn’t give it away?
too soon?
Nope. It’s never too soon.
too soon.
In this case, you should only fear being too late.
I’ve been on a couple of Facebook lifting forums for a while now, and good f*cking Lord does it make me realise how good the information is in this community
Who uses TP anyway? Just hop in the shower and change the nozzle to power blaster mode
Aside from being able to adjust the height, not a whole lot haha.
For women this can… nevermind.
My brother did residential plumbing for about 10 years, and according to him, almost 100% of the detachable selector style shower heads are the woman of the house’s idea.
And something about lots of items being hidden in the vanity under the sink. ![]()
All the non perishable (or slowly perishable) food shelves are basically empty where I am
