Flame Free Confession III: Even More Flame Free (Part 1)

If what is how I think of you? I’m interested in what you’ve taken offense to in what I’ve said. I think you’re trying to find insults to cover a bruised ego here.

As I said in your log, I’ll happily answer any questions you specifically ask me as best I can. If I can’t help, and I can think of someone who can and will (you have to admit you’ve burned a lot of bridges on here), I’ll tag them in. I’ll likely check your log every so often anyway because i like to see people win.

I apologized for that

Grown-up Life Lesson: Apologizing is a great thing, but it doesn’t mean there aren’t lasting repercussions to words and actions. Many people abide by “forgive, but not forget”.

Confession: Golden Retrievers are “default” dogs. Like, they’re still dogs, so of course they’re awesome, but they’re generic.

(First time I’m truly relying on/hiding behind the Flame-Free benefit.)

I would guess over half of the training logs on here have almost zero activity outside of the person they belong to, and maybe 1 or 2 other people who follow them. I have about 2 people who post consistently in mine. I think a large part of how much activity your log gets is how active you are in other peoples’ - see @Frank_C , @flappinit , @SkyzykS …people like that. Anyway, that’s not my point. This is: I would prepare for a very hard, disappointing life if not having enough cheerleaders saddens you.

Definitely will use this on my gf. They’re her “favorite”…like, how?

It’s not a big of a deal. It’s just nice. Wouldn’t you agree?

If you think it’s nice, do the things that are necessary to achieve it. If that sounds self serving, consider that active engagement across the logs is to the benefit of everyone.

Regarding your previous post, I don’t believe I’ve liked any “cyberbullying” and don’t particularly appreciate being labelled a bully. I’m choosing to see that as a defensive act on your part so the offer still stands as above.

I’m finding it really hard to not flame this post:
Golden Retrievers are “default” dogs
Retriever/lab crosses have always been my favourite dogs.

This is just something people with ugly dogs say.

I kind of think similarly but with a different twist. Like they are DOGS, like that’s what defines a dog to me almost then everything else is based off that. Hopefully that makes sense - not sure. I’ve grown up with labradors so that’s probably why.

A good word would be architypal.

Like for me a beagle is archetypal of dogs because that’s the one I had growing up.

Mine doesn’t even have my activity as of recent.

You go too far.

Will you next tell us that food is icky?

That fun is a drag?

Retrievers ARE the default. The baseline. Because no dog is doggier than a retriever, whether a lab or golden.

Mmm-hmm.

One log entry titled “I became a parent of 3 overnight” is probably sufficient for a couple years, I would think.

Flatcoated retrievers?

A friend of mine has flatcoats, and they are exceptionally doggy.

I mean the really really really happiest pooches in the world.

Using a thread intended to give people an outlet for using a Smith Machine, curling in a squat rack, texting at the gym to drop bombs like this is like using safe haven laws to protect yourself from defrauding the elderly.

Terrible form.

@jshaving this includes you!

I’m confused how the TRT credentials thread is supposed to make us feel any better about the validity of the info we get. I mean couldn’t anybody say they are a doctor and stuff? There isn’t much actual proof (not that I would know how to make that happen/believable).

People DID say they were doctors. And everyone (myself included) believed them.
