Today I prepared my own signature dessert for the wife and kids - a copious amount of Skyr cheese, mixed with some dark chocolate (melted in a ramekin on a pot of hot water and then cooled) a little bit of fructose, a dash of my mom’s olive oil and grated lemon zest.
When served chilled the mixture looks like a chocolate mousse, so their disappointment was visible after the first spoonful. Me repeating “thirteen grams of protein per serving - impressive all things considered” for some reason didn’t have an effect on their initial impressions.
The kids even had the audacity to ask their mother for a “real dessert” while I ate the whole bowl by myself.
There’s this beautiful college girl from Argentina on Facebook who really likes me. Now I know what you’re all thinking, but it’s not really like that. She dm’d me and wants to chat!
Of course it is I mean, if you’d want to make it more “normal” (meaning more palatable for the non-lifting population) you’d up the chocolate content (duh), whisk several egg yolks over low heat and add them in lieu of olive oil and and more sweetener (I tried adding Stevia but for some reason fructose works better).
The “cleaner” version is obviously Skyr + chocolate whey + non dutched cocoa + egg whites but I’m too old for such discipline.
I have also devised a lemon/lime Skyr version (I have a bunch of lemon trees in my backyard) which I put into the ice cream maker and eat either as standalone ice cream (well, it resembles ice cream) or an apple pie topping.
I really love making meals with Skyr because you’re bound to end up with a dish that’s loaded with protein regardless of other ingredients (additional carbs and fats are another matter, but hey IIFYM).
I’m finding entertainment in reading comments on You tube and Instagram. More specifically training related subject . The entertainment value rises when at times you look at the pick associated with the persons name. Nothing like seeing some 14 year old kid trying to sound knowledgeable. Or the guys who obvious spend their free time in front of a console.
Fat free greek yogurt mixed with wild blueberries, Naked PB powder, cinnamon, zero calorie chocolate syrup and fat free whipped cream.
Took the kid to a Pizza Buffet arcade at lunch,…and had a vegetable salad. None of the protein options looked good.
I then had a sugar free dark chocolate peanut butter as a snack
And then, for dinner, I whipped up a turkey bacon salmon fat free cheeseburger on a keto bun slathered in avocado.
My friends…that was NOT an anabolic day.
…but I DID redeem myself earlier in the day with second breakfast, which was 3 whole eggs, steak tips and avocado breakfast burrito…let’s not talk about the sunbutter and almond milk please.
It happened!! Cheat meal day!!! Only thing I consumed prior to this dinner was ground turkey and Brussels sprouts lol
Very old family run hot dog and milkshake bar!
I ate 2.5 “superdogs” which is a 12” long hot, steamed bun, ground beef (they call it chili lol), coleslaw, liquid cheese (idk what you call it) and one or two other sauces that I can’t remember.
The milkshake was handmade with legit ingredients, ordered chocolate banana with extra chocolate and extra banana
It was so good. So, so good.
I’ve been looking forward to this and talking about it so much that my girlfriend made me take a picture with my food to commemorate it haha
It is. I’ve gotten a bunch of very good looking anglo/white women with all of the friends from Zimbabwe or other African nations who’s names are like Oolowango Nipknockknock and other very African looking names.
Like, I’m betting Angie Smith from Kansas city isnt really who she says she is.
