Flame Free Confession III: Even More Flame Free (Part 1)

I’m surprised by the GIANT difference between what I need to lose weight and what I need to gain weight. Like night and day difference.

I also confess I’ve had my cheat me picked out for a while now and it’s happening Saturday!!!

Nope, that was totally above level. But not to worry, you will slip up soon enough.

have you started your “OnlyFans” site yet?

asking for a friend…

Yea I’ll drop a link after I update my content June 1st

So, my university officially hired me for a 3-month web developer job. I’m so thrilled!

My confession is that it felt so weird reading the word “doctor” followed by my first and last name on the contract I signed. Although technically inaccurate because I don’t have a grade yet, but oh what can I do :joy:

A buff web developer with the title of Dr.

I’ve gotta go rub this in the face of my main developer from Europe who hates the gym, only does marathon running and looks 10 years older than me although he’s a year younger. :joy:

Told you before, teen years can be confusing and frustrating for lots of people because that’s the stage where you start transitioning into an adult. You eventually get used to the ups and downs in life. We’ve all been through this. You’ve persevered. Good job.

As long as you do a Rocky and keep getting up no matter what life throws at you, you can accomplish great stuff. Follow what successful people do and don’t get advice from equally troubled peers. The latter are the ones who will keep you in limbo.

Congrats!

I asked my boss to write a letter of recommendation for me for a scholarship thing. She told me to write it myself

I confess that:

  1. this is definitely not allowed
  2. it’s not the first time I’ve been asked to and have done this
  3. It’s probably less illegal than my dad asking me to edit (basically write) legal documents for his company

Not allowed? I’ve also known it to be pretty standard. Good practice for the professional world if nothing else.

Thank you for your kind words, and the good advice.

I tend to see myself as somebody who doesn’t give up easily, and through discipline can overcome obstacles and get back up after a fall. Lately though, I have come to acknowledge that I have also been extremely lucky in life so far. I don’t think I can ask for much more than what I have: aside from having a house, food, and health, I have been blessed with loving what I study and what will be my future job.

I feel like it’s my duty to accomplish something, given that the starting point is so good; if for nothing else, to show appreciation for all the little (or not so little) good things life has given me so far.

I’ve let ex-employees whom I couldn’t afford to keep do that for their next employer since they were fresh out of school but eventually became too overqualified to justify their positions, job scopes and salaries lol. Actually, I’m just lazy.

One of my friends is a relatively well known pianist here. He frequently gets interviews from newspapers. Since he isn’t a major celebrity, what they do is email him questions and lets him reply, then use that to publish the “interview”. He makes me do them for him.

Once there was a question about who his favorite musician was. I wrote something like “Variation of Children of the Damned by Bach in in E minor”. I got a call from him in mock horror when it got published but we were both totally laughing at the fact that the reporter actually took that seriously and didn’t call to clarify.

P.S one of my old friends used to write every speech in China for a well-known director who made hits in HK, then the US and is now based in China. He also wrote the answers to every interview question for him before he went on TV by insisting they need to be emailed to him first under the pretence that the director can’t speak nor understand Mandarin well, only Cantonese, and he’s doing the translating first so he can be prepared. I can’t say who the director is but I think you guys can more or less guess who I’m talking about.

I just like getting an insight into the way people from the US and other Western countries think about scope of government, society, laws etc and their views about other countries. Friends IRL have a filter when we talk about these things. I think that filter goes away online. I guess I’m not getting affected much since I’m not living there.

Sure, I understand. You’re on a fact finding tour.

Me? I live this shit IRL, and go online to forget about the real world.

I get stuck thinking a person is the same age I met or online “met” them at, and always think of you as being like 18 or 19.

That is no longer how old you are though, is it?
