You need a spring scale or a hanging scale of some type.

We got one of those in a shop I was at to check what the shipping companies were charging us and before long we started weighing everything-bandsaws, bundles of material, ourselves. If you could rig it, we strapped it up and weighed it.

See - its not like I want to know. It’s just that it typifies a ā€œstultificationā€ of society for me. The fact that everyone should know that ā€œthis is a 60lb bandā€ means nothing. With out more information that number is meaningless.

I confess that all of your recent confessions have had me nodding along in agreement.

Doesn’t share food? Check
Swears at bars after squatting? Check
Gets irrationally irritated at dumbassery, for want of a better word? Check

Wouldn’t simply putting them on hurt your feet? :thinking:

You would think, wouldn’t you? Apparently your toes should be 1/4"-1/2" from the end of the shoes, not touching the end.

I did this once and I couldn’t handle it. I tripped over my own feet in shoes that were too big. It didn’t work for me.

Maybe. Maybe that that’s my new confession. I’m British. And grumpy. God I’m grumpy recently.

Also confession. I ordered blood tests for TRT. First set of tests I went to pass out. Pin prick and I’m not in a good way.
So I get a second kit ordered. This time I’m okay with the blood - but it takes so long. 5 mins in I’ve got like 4 drops. I can’t sit still that long. So I’ve called it a day. My GENUINE response to TRT is this:
ā€œI lack the basic ability to A, remain conscious while pin pricking myself & B spend 10 mins sat still to take blood. I there for I have no business starting a life long treatment that will require me inject myself twice weekly and take bloods every 6-9 months for monitoring.ā€

This seems logical.

I used to be skeptical about Chinese medicine, but I’m starting to question my disbelief now

My aunt is hard core into TCM and I swear, she’s reverse aging or something.

I confess I discovered that I like cashew milk. However, I HATE calling it ā€œcashew milkā€, because it’s not goddamn milk: it’s juice. The people that took to calling it milk are brilliant marketers, because juice is always dubious for health but milk ā€œdoes a body goodā€. But seriously, it’s yummy, and somehow only 25 calories for a cup of the stuff. I don’t get it.

I also confess I keep re-reading Matt Reynold’s article ā€œEating Through the Sticking Pointsā€, because in an alternative timeline I’m a 308lb powerlifter.

I’m also constantly re-reading Jim Wendler’s ā€œBuilding the Monolithā€ article in eager anticipation of re-running that program. Whereas before I had fear, now I’ve got something else, and it’s dark…

But I don’t foresee a dozen eggs and 1.5lbs of beef a day this go round. COVID forcing more cohabitation has made certain dietary habits non-sustainable…

On a related note, it does amuse me to see people posting their banded lifts as a straight weight. 600lbs Squat!!! You mean, 400lbs + ā€œ200lbsā€ band weight. It’s especially amusing when they also do reverse band work but don’t include the band assistance in the lift. 600lbs squat!!! You mean, 600lbs - an entire set of elitefts bands?

Yep, thats me.

I’ve considered these so many times. Enough that I get constant spam from the provider trying to persuade me to pull the trigger. My thoughts have been similar to yours, if it turns out I have low T, am I going to pin myself every week for the rest of my life? Because if not, all I’ve done is give myself and excuse

Confession.

I confess that I am in the best shape of 90% of my freinds/family, and 100% of my co-workers, especially for my age group.
So, I allow myself to carry additional BF, and bail on workouts and justify it by telling myself that I am in better shape than most in my circle.

However, spending some time in the logs of the members here, it gives me a reason to hit it harder, since I am in NO way as good of shape as ya’all are and that I could be - and should be.

Gives me a reason to ramp up my training and diet - and a good reason to slow down the alcohol usage.

flame free, right?
