That’s true :joy: Dang, now I want oysters. Curious about that restaurant!

Nope. Only heard his performance of Dazed and Confused with them. Couldn’t stand the singer lol.

To give an idea of how little I care about the characters, I’ve watched 9 episodes and still don’t know the names of any of the characters other than house :joy:

@flappinit good point

@kleinhound @jshaving since you guys are pretty good runners, I thought I’d ask something.

I’ve never been able to find a ā€œconversational paceā€. no matter how slow I go, I still can’t manage to string together sentences while running. Is that mental?

When was the last time your H&H was checked?

I’ve never had hematocrit checked. All blood counts are normal though

To be clear, this running thing isn’t something I ā€œwant to solveā€, just curious

Why you would waste a fresh raw oyster by abominating it with tabasco and a cracker rather than dipped in horseradish-heavy cocktail sauce and eaten alone, I can’t possibly imagine. I mean, a cracker? What FOR??

There should be enough horseradish that you have to avoid nose-breathing.

Or while pretending these things.

Idk why I expected a little higher class taste buds on a weight lifting forum :weary:

I guess my confession is that I have never eaten raw oysters, nor have I ever eaten any seafood raw.

Had some undercooked mussels once that were nauseating though.

I agree with this though. I’ve had this on fresh steamed shrimp in Monterey. Super good.

I’ve eaten raw oysters. It was pretty much just what I would imagine eating a bowl of snot would be like. Cannot possibly imagine doing it ever again.

Yeah, there’s definitely a textural thing there for me.

I’ve had them fried, poached, steamed, smoked, all good. Raw, Nope.

I haven’t had mussels in a good white wine sauce in a long time. Mmmm…

I don’t care one way or the other about raw oysters, but I almost never eat them because I can’t stand paying for them. There’s just not much food for your dollar and my palette isn’t wired for that kind of thing.

I see people use this description a lot. I really like oysters on the half shell and have never had fresh oysters that were in the least bit slimy or snot like. Are you sure they were fresh?

Right fresh oysters should never smell fishy or be snotty. You know, similar to other things eaten raw :joy:

Oysters are good any way they cook em, but I get why some people have a hard time with them.

I grew up on an island in the puget sound, we dug clams, fished, ate crabs, you name it. We didn’t even know we were on welfare…

Had to edit the crab statement for clarity…
