Flame Free Confession III: Even More Flame Free (Part 1)

Always preferred my salad off the cobb.

Ok, I confess I wanna brag about a sandwich I brought to work, because it was delicious and totally meathead diety. @TrainForPain as my fellow Costco fan, you’ll dig this.

The meat is this

The bread is one of these per side

On each tortilla, I put a mix of sugar free ketchup and miracle whip light. I top the chicken patty with half a slice of fat free cheese and a sandwhich pickle.

The trick is, I cook it in a quesadilla maker, like this

Gotta get the low class one that DOESN’T have the ridges on it to pre-cut the quesadilla, because you don’t want that to happen to the sandwich. Spray a little avocado oil on the cooker to make the tortillas crisp.

I brought 2 of these to work and they’re amazing. And I don’t tend to crunch numbers, but they should be less than 200 calories a sandwich, with 20+ grams of protein.

I freaking love those patties. I throw them on the top of whatever. I chilled out a little recently because the sodium is a little high, but that’s pretty specific to me right now.

Anyway, I’m absolutely trying that sandwich. I can’t tell what that bread is. Is it over with the rest of the keto bread?

I swear I just watched Iron Man 1 again last night.

(For those who haven’t seen it, Tony Stark gets captured in the Middle East, escapes, and the moment he arrives in the US, he asks for a press conference and a cheeseburger. “Cheeseburger first”.)

Unfortunately no: that’s a “Mr Tortilla 1 carb tortilla”, which I order directly from the company. They’re 4" in diameter, so they’re street taco size, but they perfectly cover the chicken patty. They’re 15 calories a tortilla, so crazy good diet food, and they make excellent mini quesadillas.

Gotcha! I have been using the low carb ones, but they’re still 5x those calories

I only recently learned that Ceasar’s salad wasn’t named after Julius Caesar lol

Yeah, “Mama Lupes” makes more full size ones. I like these because I can scale them as a result. I have both in the house, but will lean on the 1 carbers for smaller meals.

(@anna_5588, just because I think I showed you last week’s temps.)

Is it even safe to go outside in those temps??!! :joy:

I think they say frostbite can occur within 10 minutes or so if exposure to it. Not sure how accurate that is. I was out for a couple of hours this morning and my nose survived. I think you get acclimated to it.

ON the bright side, mask wearing and social distancing gets exponentially easier  :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Exactly. I’ve actually been wearing my mask on my walk home from school, not because of germs, but because it keeps my face warm. Some old dude yelled at me to not “live in fear!” as he drove by but it’s like dude, I’m using this if it helps in this regard.

That sounds amazing - probably can’t find the exact ingredients at this side of the pond, but it certainly is good inspiration - thank you for sharing.

I shoveled the driveway yesterday morning at -14F. After a minute or so everything exposed is numb so the pain goes away.

Your Viking card is in question - no liver?

Isn’t cod liver a Viking staple? How else would you get vitamin D when there is no sun out for a good couple of months

I confess that shit hit the fan at a major-league level at work this morning (5AM), but I woke up super pumped to lift. So chugged pre-workout and have done probably 3 days’ work in 6 hours to clear time to lift on my lunch. Can I have my official meathead card yet?

Holy crap! I think I might have to bring this up at the department lab meeting

Almost there.

The random threads on here are getting great…“I can do more pullups with my feet touching the ground” was really doing it for me, but then I read “My stomach keeps falling out when I stand up” and I laughed until I cried.

I confess I get massively irritated when people conflate mask wearing with fear. At the very least, it’s a simple display of respect to others by showing that you have regard for their health if there’s a possibility that you have a disease that can be transmitted through the air.

This is simple shit that an 8 year old should be able to understand. Japanese and China persons(lol) have been doing it for stuff like the common cold long before COVID.
