Flame Free Confession III: Even More Flame Free (Part 1)

Nah, guys, when you’re that jacked you do have to get a waiver. Sometimes you even get to skip boot camp. Then Bam- straight to deltaseals.

So my gym started offering the possibility of training in the parking lot for 90 minutes, and they’ll bring out any equipment you need for you to use it during your session.

I asked them about the service and they told me it costs $ 20 per training session.

I asked them if it was included in the price of my membership, since I have an active subscription.

“Of course not,” was their answer. How about they go fuck themselves? Just saying.

If they shut down gyms here I’d pay it to be able to workout.

$ 320 a month? When you already paid for a membership at said gym?

Fuck yea snake. I spend more a day eating out than that. I’d damn sure pay to train!

Get your money’s worth: have them bring out stupidly heavy stuff just to do 1 rep and ask for something else.

Please ask for the tread mill and elliptical and use that as a 3 minute warm up :joy::joy::joy:

I actually thought of that. My idea was to pay them, have them bring the whole gym out, and then either not show up or use one or two things.

Unfortunately, I cannot quite do what you say as they said you have to tell them everything you’re going to use in advance.

The gym is still charging you even though they’re closed?

You have a point. But it’s a matter of principle. They have $ 200 I gave them for my membership right before the gyms closed. I paid 6 months of menbershop which I haven’t used yet, and they want me to pay extra for access to services I already paid for?

This hasn’t been cleared out yet. First time round, they didn’t. But I’d much rather they use my current subscription (as opposed to “freezing” it while they’re closed) than have me pay to train, when I have already paid to be able to train.

You paid to use their equipment as is while someone sat on their but and made minimum wage. Now you’re paying for moving equipment around as you see fit.

I agree with this. If what you paid for beforehand is being “frozen”, I don’t see it as an unreasonable policy.

If you wanna be mad, be mad at your government who says it’s safe to workout outside but indoors in dangerous :joy:

100%.

And why the fuck are bars open meanwhile? Only place where you can legally be without a mask, surrounded with people sitting close to you. How is the gym riskier?

I don’t think it’s about working out outside vs inside as much as it is about having people in an enclosed space where lots of heavy breathing takes place for extended periods of time.

That being said, gyms in VA have been open for months now and I wouldn’t change it for the world, haha.

The “business interests” that own the bars made the gov’t officials in charge an “offer” they couldn’t refuse?

Yeah, the hypocrisy of what CAN be open vs what can’t based on the “inside” rule is ridiculous. Liquor stores have had plenty of patronage.

I confess I’ve been listening to Karen Carpenter sing “Home For The Holidays” 3-5 times a day since after Thanksgiving, and it never gets old.

It does make me sad for her troubles, RIP.

I play this several times a day during Christmas.
