I’ll say there’s some truth to what he said, though maybe he didn’t mean it the way I took it. People butcher programs all the time and then claim they don’t work. Gotta trust in the guy whose program you chose to run. Again, he could have meant it like, “just believe me, absent proof”, but I’m a big proponent of trusting whoever wrote the program.

It is important to actually follow a program if you mean to evaluate it correctly, I just like poking fun at it. It always just struck me as a complicated marketing campaign to sell machines, and I have not seen evisence that convinces me otherwise.

I have to admit that I’m a bit discouraged by the recently learned news that gym are now closed again in Italy. Not that I wasn’t expecting it, anyhow.

I kinda feel like for the past 10 months I kept taking 3 steps forwards and two back with all the events that took place. I hate training at home, and I’m not looking forward to the next few weeks (or possibly months) at all.

At least I have four different bands, a bar to do pull-ups, a corner of my balcony to do dips, and if I can get the owner of my gym to lend me a couple pairs of dbs, those as well. That’s something.

Sorry to hear that. It seems that is the path most of Europe is on currently - we are heading into a bleak winter I fear.

Did you not get a barbell and some plates a while back? Seem to remember a post about something like that.

Yeah given the 30-10-30 on some exercises a try and doing the tricep sessions.

I don’t beleive all the hype and claims, I don’t like all the touching of tails and the culty kind of vibe thats coming off over there. But i do like the style of training and its kinda like the stuff that’s been working well for me with my current training situation.

Not sure l have gained 15lb of muscle in 2 weeks or anything but I am enjoying it and seeing some positive changes.

I confess music in the gym does nothing for me.
I hate the music played through the gym speakers but it’s easy to ignore.
Using my own headphones is just a pain in the butt while I am trying to focus on the exercise.

The guys in Dardens forum are insane. That fat guy Jeff thinks he is 11% bf and the fact that Darden “measured” himself makes me think he is just a liar.

Word. It simply makes no sense to submit customers to that crazy neverending stream of bad pop music - especially when seemingly close to 75% use earphones to escape it.

I find it still doesn’t do much for me even after reading the supporting literature. I was hoping at least for a placebo effect :joy:
