It seemed like you were inferring that winter only counts when you have an extreme of low temperature. I just wondered if the same rule could be applied by summer. Winter can also be fun as long as you can keep warm.
I understood the question: I just donāt know the answer.
And no inference: I was saying just that, haha.
Sorry Pwn re read those two and it wasnāt my intention to sound accusatory. Just coming from the northern hemisphere where itās is a lot colder in winter and now living in the Southern Hemisphere where itās bloody hot in summer I find peopleās view of weather very interesting. Winter here is around 10c (50f) so not exactly cold, I still wear shorts all year round. Those born here find it very cold and complain constantly. When it comes to summer the flip flop is in the other foot. I like the sun but it can get really hot here. Those born here deff seem to cope better than me.
Oh my god, youāre one of them

Ha - yeah guilty. Minus 6°c over night is as bad as it gets here.
Although I jest of course. I can 100% appreciate wanting to work out in doors at any time.
Confession;
I have 2 bikes that wont see the light of day until AT LEAST April 2021. Because even though our winters are mild, frost bitten toes suck.
And Iām contemplating getting a turbo trainer. Itās something the bike goes on to turn it into an exercise bike.
@theBeth - for all my posture I too will be forgoing exercising outside. Hopefully.
Do you prefer very hot weather to very cold?
I prefer cold.
Iāve been flamed so many times IRL for saying that, nice to see Iām not the only one to prefer cold haha
Cold enough to freeze your contacts to your eyeballs
That guy is me too.
This happens to me more than Iād like to admit. Plus, Iāve had dreams after ordering new gear (mostly amps and PUPs), where I dream that I try out the new gear and hate it while waiting for it to arrive. So far no deja vu, which is good.
Flame Free: humans only prefer cold when they have some warm place to spend most of their time.
Sounds like Stalingrad!
Never been. Got to St Petersburg.
But for me, it was North Dakota. -60f with windchill.
First time for me. Iāve not played it for over a decade. I think it was some kind of subconscious reaction to Eddie Van Halenās death. I dunno. I wasnāt even a fan of his tbh.
I have a huge appreciation for Eddieās guitar playing and his contribution to the guitar community, but was only a mild fan of Van Halenās music. Flame free
As someone who has chosen the treadmill in both Northern New England and Austin, TX, the answer is yes.
Optimal running temperature is 52 F. This is easier to achieve via turning the heat off in a cold place than turning the a/c up in a hot place, but there you have it.
Personally, itās not just the weather. Itās the distractions of outdoors; cars, dogs, uneven pavement, waving neighbors. I canāt hit my mental zone when I have to be engaged with my environment. Thatās for walks and hikes. Running, I just want to let the music and the movement take me away.
Misquoting Iām sure, and I donāt remember who said it but:
People say they enjoy the winter, but what they really enjoy is feeling proof against it.
Same with heat.
Similar, not same. I legit enjoy sitting/laying out in some hot ass weather. It is literally against human physiology to want to be freezing ass cold.
I am deliberately being difficult here, so feel free to tear apart my argument.
