Flame Free Confession III: Even More Flame Free (Part 1)

It doesn’t look “Witch’s cauldron” size, so I think you’re right.

It is phenomenal. Totally winged it too. Like all good chili, haha.

What exactly is seafood medley?

All sorts of creatures. I use this one

Yeah you aren’t getting that in a Sam’s near me guaranteed. It says Assembled Country - China? WTH.

I pretty much eat anything you put in front of me, but some of the stuff you come up with would definitely test that theory. This however looks good.

Have you had Lion’s Mane? I love those things sautéed in butter and garlic. They are also, reportedly, good for the brain.

What’s in the seafood medley and is it fresh?

This thing

Oh, I have! They are wonderful. Had my last batch in a creamy mushroom soup.

I don’t know in what amounts or to what effect they may help brain function though. It may take an extraordinary amount to induce any noticeable effects.

I used to kind of wonder if there were different medicinal effects, and some have shown to contain some interesting molecules, but I don’t know that they can be obtained in sufficient quantity through regular consumption.

But here’s a couple giant maitake (sheep’s heads)!

Much appreciated. I definitely have the ability to make and enjoy good food: I just also have the ability to NOT do that, haha.

This time of year DOES test my resolve though. I’m a total fall flavor fanatic, and Christmas stuff also gets to me. I picked an awesome time to gain weight. I may actually start bulking and cutting in my mid 30s at this point.

I love pumpkins, and it’s that season. I ended up being dealt a good time to add weight.

100% on board with this. Pretty sure my slow cooker will stay out until about June next year.

At this time of year I suddenly become a big fan of IIFYM. Oddly this ‘phase’ usually wears off by around January 1st.

I’ve been sleeping 15-30 min past my bedtime these few weeks
I confess even missing those 15-30min has really dented my energy levels, mood and impulse control :sob:

If you sleep past your bedtime, that means you are sleeping past the point you are supposed to go to sleep.

I define bedtime as the time I need to be in bed by to get at least 8 hours of sleep- 9:30

My friend and I have been working on an Econ problem set in the evening and by the time I wrap everything else up, it’s already 9:30, which means I’m in bed at 9:45-10pm

To explain my joke: you are being awake past your bedtme: not sleeping past it.

I also took that to mean that she was falling asleep around 7 am.
