Why would you automaticaaly feel the need to say that? And we don’t believe you.

As they say, no rumor is true until officially denied.

I may have tried a sample of the population to prove my hypothesis. For science.

This is something I kept trying to tell people who wanted to take up steroids too early until I just gave up because of all the people, mostly angry natties keep hyping roids up to be so magical that one can go from noob to amateur bodybuilder with a dbol only cycle.

A noob starts a cycle. Finally starts eating like crazy and pounding the weights hard when once he starts because he knows there’s only a finite amount he has to make his gainz. Gains 20lbs just from diet despite not really knowing what he’s doing. People think it’s just the roids.

Temporary excess muscular fluid retention caused by roids coupled with the weight gain gives people the illusion that he’s bigger that he really is. Roid delts brah. Then the noob comes off and realizes he’s just fat but thinks it’s because he lost the roids gainz. Still doesn’t know how to actually build muscle. Keeps cycling with more and more roids but each successive cycle becomes less and less effective because he’s not really building much skeletal muscle mass because he doesn’t know what the fuck he’s doing.

He goes to the internet steroid boards for advice. Then he thinks it’s desensitization of androgen receptors and/or whatever the fuck bro scientists pull out of their asses(not saying it doesn’t occur, just not likely in his case). Nothing to do with diet or training.

Then it becomes “eveyone bigger than me must be on LOTS of roids”. And dumbasses start using more than the pros.

I mean, come on, there’s so much nonsense going around about unbelievably simple shit like bro splits with noobs throwing studies they don’t understand around, does anyone REALLY think there isn’t even more nonsense in steroid boards pertaining to a subject that’s kinda.. a little more complicated?

Seriously, one dude was convinced he was a non-responder to testosterone because he didn’t make much gainz on LOTS of test because the internet said so. I asked him how this was possible unless he never went through puberty.

Seems I’ve been missing out on great threads again lately

Nah, this happened a couple of years back.

Wait…so are you decreeing now from upon high that BtNs are worth spending time on?

There’s a really nice bodybuilding gym near where I work, meticulously maintained old school equipment, I’m talking stuff you just don’t really find anywhere else like Dorian’s pullover machine and that kind of thing.

They have a pretty strict bodybuilding only no powerlifting rule, if the owner sees you lifting for sets of less than 6-8 with heavy weight you’ll be warned and then asked to leave.

They always have been. I ran a cycle of them a while back and got some great results from it, and it’s happening again. Biggest thing I needed to figure out was to start them from the front, bring them behind the neck and THEN start pressing.

Wow - that’s mad. I mean - to get big you got to get at least a little bit strong.

Also means this is rejected:

Yeah - strong man is like cycling. If you want to get better - use better gear.
I’m more upset at myself for being so - petty. Its fine to take gear and beat other people. But not me lol.

Also - I’m a bit shocked that guys that are only as strong as me a cycling gear. I’ve got another 50kg on my big 3 and 30kg on my press natural. I mean - if i was on gear - I’d be distraught if I wasn’t dead lifting over 300kg.

That makes no sense.
I remember running a chest routine recommended by Arnold in of his books/interviews/something (i forgot exactly where) that was essentially a pyramid scheme of 20/10/8/5/3/2/1/1/1/1/20 reps for each of flat, incline and decline bench. Workout was almost two hours, but man I built some size with those heavy singles.

Wow… is he younger? I have a had time seeing a really old timer being like that.

Isnt that how it works anymore? Ironically… there is a new guy that started yesterday that will fall into that little category. Or hes a blatant Troll…

I used to have what you refer to as the “angry nattie” attitude towards steroid users. It seemed like cheating. I just can’t bring myself to care anymore what others do with their body. I am with you that most noobs definitely are jumping into hard drugs before developing any understanding of anatomy and muscle building. However, people will be people and will continue to make dumb decisions until the Rapture.

Old timer former BB competitor. Just so in love with bodybuilding that he thinks it’s the only way, and that any PLing is guaranteed to cause injury

I will say, in this flame free environment, that current powerlifting is the absolute worst thing you could introduce to any training environment and I applaud any gym owner going out of their way to discourage it.

Off subject… is it me or has the quality of trolls gone down. Or is some of the newer posters just that clueless and come across as trolling? as of late im not sure.
