I haven’t tried Krispy Kremes but I love HoneyBuns fried in butter. Now, I want one.
Ay dios mio…
Again, if the goal is just more weight, add potatoes, white rice, or pasta to every meal. Adding more protein is rarely bad, as very few people have “too much” protein, but it’s not nearly as useful for weight gain as carbs are.
You can boil tons of mini potatoes in heavily salted water and have them with anything, you can get a rice cooker and always have amazing rice to eat, you can prepare TONS of pasta at once.
Again- this is under the assumption that you just want to gain weight and are eating a lot already.
Whoa. That sounds good, if not good for me…
I can eat a half dozen glazed Krispy Kreme donuts like it’s absolutely nothing
When Krispy Kreme came to PDX, I ate 42 in one sitting. I was, I think, 13 and bought four dozen. I left six so that each person in my family could have one. Told them I could only get get six. Then when I got home, I ate the 43rd Hahaha
I mean, personally I think I eat a lot but that’s just based on what I used to eat. I had a typical recent day of eating in that thread I made.
I will definitely try additional carbs (on top of the cereal and stuff) once it’s called for but I haven’t weighed myself yet, I’m planning on it soon. I could be up a bit and have no idea yet. The pasta and potato’s sound like they would be perfect for ease of cooking and mixing with my current lunches and dinners though, I’ll probably start adding them in once I get the rest of the shit figured out. Thanks again man.
I confess that after reading @T3hPwnisher is using drinkable egg whites, I thought it was a very good idea and went on the website to see the prices.
However expensive it might be, I was considering buying 2 gallons to try them out… Only to find out they don’t ship outside of America. ![]()
Yeah, the “international” part of their name is rather misleading, haha.
What’s the difference between those and the Costco brand
I’m thinking maybe if I can find pasteurized egg whites at the grocery shop, those could be safe enough to drink raw. I would save so much time and hassle not having to cook my egg whites.
I’ll do more research on the matter.
Yeah, they shouldn’t have any issue with drinking raw as far as health/safety goes: they’ll just be slimy. I had been mixing in regular egg whites with my post workout meal before for a little bit for a similar effect. At that point, it was worth just microwaving them in one of those little omelet makers and eating them.
I have never seen Costco sell a drinkable egg white before.
They sell pasteurized egg whites and the recipe on the back of the carton is for a smoothie so I guess they car drinkable?

I’ve been doing that recently. Only problem is that it’s one of the more disgusting things I’ve ever had to eat. Even with added ketchup. It’s just… Plain bad. I’m sure you get it if you tried them.
However gross it might sound, they appeal to me much more raw. At least the idea, since I’ve never actually tried them that way.

Have you tried mixing in some mushrooms or spinach, adds flavour and moisture
@samul Yeah, they’re quite rubbery. Not my preferred way to eat an egg, haha. Good “diet food”, because it forces you to eat slowly and, when you’re done, you don’t want to eat any more.
@anna_5588 The drinkable egg whites I use are cooked before shipping such that they have no taste or smell and no slime factor to them. They mix into just about anything, or you can just drink them on their own. The people that produce them have also given me info packets that explain how differences in protein absorption occurs depending on how eggs are treated, but that’s above my pay grade. I just use them in place of milk when I want to keep carbs and fats low with protein high.

I do with eggs, which I have in the morning. I’ll have egg whites only at night, as a snack. When that time of the day comes round, I basically want to get the calories in and be down with it quickly (I’ll still be full from the previous meal which is the biggest one of the day). In that regard, adding stuff is probably not the answer.
But yeah, generally speaking adding veggies makes them taste better, it just doesn’t work for me in that specific instance. I’m thinking more and more that just drinking them is the solution.

I actually always end up eating egg whites as quickly as possible so I can be done with it haha

I don’t much like eggs so I didn’t eat them for a long time. I decided to introduce them into my diet for extra protein. So in a bowl went brocolli, peppers and carrot with egg whites, at the time yolks were evil. Thrown into a microwave until the whites set.
One day, I decide to have a whole egg after reading that egg yolk might not kill you. I also fried it instead of microwaving - compared to the horrid egg white vegetables bowl this was like ice cream lol
I’ve found sour cream to be a fantastic egg transportation lubricant. But, of course, if one’s goal is to keep calories low, it’s unhelpful there, haha.
