I’m currently trying to lose a few pounds. Last night I had a double protein shake for dinner and then drank five alcoholic beverages. They were 100 calories each and 5.0% alcohol by whatever metric they use. After number five and right before bed, I ate Tostitos scoops and salsa.
I still finished under my calories for the day.
Alcoholic drinks eliminate my hunger… up to a point. And then the poor judgement kicks in.
This type of situation happens to me pretty much every night. I feel satisfied after dinner and have a protein bar as a snack. By that point, I’m full but usually still have 2-300 kcal left, so… I scour the fridge and by the end, “not hungry” turns into “STOP EATING GODDAMIT”
Have you tried eating during the day? It doesn’t help me the a book I read said it should.
Here’s my struggle for today:
0800 - double protein shake (240 cals)
1030 - 1/3 lb cheeseburger, half pound of steamed broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots (620 cals)
1100 - protein bar (190 cals)
1300 - starving
1500 - round two of my lunch (another cheeseburger and veggies) (620 cals)
1552 - this is now and I’m hungry
I’m currently up to 1670 calories and I’m scheduled to work until 2100. I start my day with 2000 calories and it goes up if I move enough to justify it. I can definitely justify it with my deadlift workout, but I’ve still eaten most of my food for the day and I’ve only felt satisfied for about an hour.
I usually get 2400 a day minimum. My calories don’t make sense compared to others around here and it sucks because I’m hungry. I’m just trying to cut some unwanted fluff as fast as possible. I gained like seven pounds in two weeks from stress and work.
One night I was shot at and next thing you know, the station is full of food from people who like us. Unfortunately, none of it was healthy.
I find a raw carrot is a good way to curb hunger. I think it is the amount of chewing and the crunchy texture that sorts things. The trick is to eat it as soon as any indication that you want food pops up
I had a colonoscopy on Thursday. I’m not sure if you’re familiar witht the dietary restrictions that go into that for a week, but I know I got less than 1000 calories the Wednesday before. I gained 4 pounds. I feel ya’.
Essentially all the clear liquids you want, nothing you actually want to eat, and no red or blue colouring. Bon apetit!
Edit: Almost forgot, a strip of laxatives and two bottles of something vile that force cleanses you. I heard stories of enormous weight loss. Nope.
I read the first part of this and skimmed the second. And then couldn’t understand why no one else was too surprised by you getting shot at. Until I worked out your a cop.
