I think we know how you need to eat that’s good for them ![]()
Given how much spinach, mushrooms, salt and seafood I eat, I’m probably down to 50% capacity already ![]()
I’ve read that draining the brine and rinsing thoroughly can reduce the sodium content by half.
I do this, then hit it with balsamic vinegar and garlic.
It’s not the same, but eh, what can ya do?
It’s the combo of vinegar and salt that make it so addictive. The vinegar cuts the salt such that even the brine is quite refreshing
Nataliyas (the Ukrainian mart) has the most amazing pickled cabbage and mushrooms.
Balsamic is magic, adds a nice touch of sweetness
I did too. I’m quite perplexed how I’m going to buy 35lbs of ground beef a week. @T3hPwnisher did you adhere strictly to the diet? (Rhetorical question, I’m sure you did)
I stuck with the principles. The specific diet that was listed interpreted as just an example.
You read Jon’s diet - made for a 300 lb ~10% BF monster.
The sample diet is
very doable. Besides eating 18 eggs a day, lol.
Beef, chicken and turkey are all more expensive than usual for me right now. Haven’t checked fish since it’s already too expensive, haha. Seen a few articles saying this is expected to last for a while due to everything that’s going on.
Yeah after losing my job the cost of meat is a huge point of contention in my house.
I’ve just about argued that we can afford a protein allowance of £4 a day. But that’s still £120 a month. On top of my normal food bill.
I am spending a lot less on food. These are exceptional circumstances, some shit just has to go. Just means you need to work harder when everything is back to normal. Use this time to build a base so when your body gets the extra protein it explodes, and you might just find you need less protein than you thought.
Plus it will buy you lots of credits in the bank… If you go through with it, make sure you acknowledge all her points in how you came to the decision, this is for extra interest lol
Ive cut down my meat bill. And I’m lucky enough to have a savings pot. And I am earning again. Just at a much reduced rate. So I’m cool. For now… ![]()
My wife knows I need this though. I have suffered with poor mental health in the past. Adherence to a work out programme helps keep me level.
It’s not like if I stop I go loco - but if I stop I tend to experience an up or down swing with in weeks. And I’m a pain in the arse to be around.
Also - whilst I’m at it:
Yesterday I was moving (empty) coffins in the yard I’m working in. These things are not heavy - but they are awkward. I mean they are at least 6 feet long and 2 feet wide. The biggest is 7 foot long, almost 4 foot wide and the same deep.
There 5 of us doing this and the other 4 guys were working in pairs, but I managed to carry the coffins alone. This drew all kinds of (playful) comments. However the conversation then turned to my work outs. One of the guys there - an older guy in his late 60’s at a guess payed me a few compliments about my size and shape.
Confession - this made me happier than I thought it would. I’ve never been one for external validation. I’ve always thought I was happy with my own opinion of myself. Its strange to find out I care about the opinion of someone else.
It was my mates 50th yesterday, so the wife and I popped over for a couple of drinks. Couple turned into a few and a few turned into a few more. Have felt like crap all day and have been snacking al day long.
It’s human nature. Now, just think about how good that made you feel and genuinely pass it on .
Forgive my ignorance but I thought this was just normal Aussie behavior.
I assumed it was typical booze lover behaviour
It is for most. For me I am lucky to have 4 beers in 6 months.
Yer. One or two bottles of beer each week is my max. Lately, I’ve been drinking one every other weekend.
