Flame Free Confession III: Even More Flame Free (Part 1)

Ouch!

I think I may have heard whispers of this. I like higher reps, but I maybe not that much.

Not closing the door on it, but it will take some building up to.

Still don’t know why that guy looks so afraid of food.

I confess I started my day with a stick of butter. That stuff is jet fuel

When I was a toddler, the Austrian side of my family used to give me half a stick of butter in the wrapper and let me eat it. I’m still a sucker for butter and my body handles fat uncannily well.

My body loves it, my gut doesn’t :joy:

Mine’s the opposite. Gut loves it but I don’t do well using it as an energy source…

Hmm… every time I eat it, I feel like I just drank caffeine and my joints feel really good. Definitely worth the trip to the bathroom :joy:

I’m that way with carbs. Eastern European vs Asian digestive system, apparently :man_shrugging:

I went to Ukraine two years ago and went crazy on rye bread, smoked fish, pickles and kefir.
I actually have a bit of Salo Marinating in the fridge right now- it’ll be done on Sunday!

I can do really, really dirty things to all foods mentioned. My family hunted a lot (not me, don’t exactly have the heart for it outside of wild boar, which I don’t have the balls for), so we had a lot of wild sausage and meat to go with our sauerkraut growing up. That’s pretty much my best hack to get more food down when I need it - 1/4 cup of kraut before I eat. Pretty sure I read that one on T-Nation’s actual site.

Kraut and meat is the best! Why am I not European :joy::joy::joy::joy:
Fruit does that for me. Other carbs just knot up my stomach, taking up precious space where meat could have gone
I might have my Asian card revoked, but rice is the worst

Soft, warm, and buttery salo on rye bread is amazing. Ukraine has terrific food.

Saaaaaaame! Fruit has always been fine, it just doesn’t feel like it sticks with me long enough. Other carbs I have to completely force-feed and then feel terrible after.

I like sauerkraut because it’s vegetables that requires zero prep.

1st confession: I’m finding my 20 rep squat programme hard. I keep looking at the rest of the programme and thinking to myself is it worth it.
It is - 10 seconds before I start my set of 20 reps - its a hard sell.

2nd confession:
I down loaded Deep-Water today. I’m letting people now that so that if I don’t start talking about deep water in my log very shortly - then they’ll know I took the easy way out.

That’s why it’s so dangerous.
Left to my own devices, I could easily put down a kilo

That’s not a bad thing.

Well… It’s at least 2 days worth of sodium and everything swells up.

Thats good for lifting.
