fishoil?

everyone says that the most important ingredient for me is ‘fishoil’. alright, umm, what is it? where can i get it? why is it the best? i’ve heard a lot of things about this. I used to believe in the ‘high carb low fat stuff’, but once i started eating more : peanut butter, less lenient on the pizza, etc…i’ve been noticing a positive difference in my body. I’m 17, so whatever I eat i don’t think i’ll get ‘fat’. so, i eat around 6 meals a day, get over my body weight (but in grams) of protein/day, etc. should I try fishoil? is it really as good as it seems? Thanks for your advice in advance.

It’s main benefit to you would be to decrease the immune response to training. Ie, your body will spend more time building muscle instead of fighting what it thinks is an “infection” in your muscles (due to all the damage you’ve done during a training session, sometimes the immune system thinks it’s infection - hence the swelling and heat and pain).

the fish oils reduce the inflammation. That’s a good thing.

the place to get them is in the pharmacy section of your grocery store. They’ll be bottles of gel pills. Make sure you get Salmon Oil, do NOT think that Cod Liver Oil is the same thing! You can OD on Cod Liver Oil. Make sure you take them at night (4-6 a night at first) so that other people don’t smell your fish burbs.
