I’d like to know what is the optimal amount of fish oil to consume daily via caps… Like, how many is too many? 1 gram per 10 pounds of bodyweight sound about right?
One thing to be aware of is, large intakes of fish oils have been linked to incresed levels of lipid peroxides. If you taking lots of fish oils, take Vitamin E and best in mixed tocopherol form. Some Fish oils have it added already. I take about 5-6 g of fish oils per day. My diet has plenty of other ‘healthy’ fats in it.
I usually take 2 capsules with every meal. Which comes out to about 4080mg EPA/2880mg DHA with the brand I get.
