Fish Oil and Flax Seed Dosage

My Wife and I have been lifting for about a year and are now getting more serious. We keep hearing about fish oil and flax seed oil having positive effects for workouts. What would you rec as to how much we should take?

depends on what you ate that day really. A couple caps of Flameout a day wouldn’t be too bad. Sometimes when I don’t have access to food I’ll pop 10 fish oil pills with some Metabolic Drive or Metabolic Drive Complete to get some more fat in during the day.

This kind of depends on what your goals are really but consuming omega 3s have tremendous benefits regardless. Ideally, you should be getting a 2:1 ratio of omega 3s to omega 6s in your diet however the modern diet is largely inverted - even some with a 60:1 o6 to o3 ratio.

Unless you are getting a lot of o3s from your foods, I would look to supplement with anywhere between 12-15 grams per day to begin with. After about 4 weeks, you can bring that down to about 3-4 grams per day. Fish and Krill oil are prefered sources, avoid flaxseed oil, and try to vary your sources if possible.
