First Time User, Need Some Insight.

Well, I have been scouring some articles and other sources to find the information I need, but thus far have been out of luck in finding what I am looking for. The low-down is that I will be a first time user of steroids and am very concerned about staying safe.

My main goal is to cut. I have been working out for a long time and am mostly happy with the amount of muscle mass I have, however I also have a good amount of fat plaguing my body, which I cannot seem to get rid of naturally, as my diet requires an excessive caloric intake. These are my demographics:

19 years old
6’0
202 lbs
17% BF

I alternate between 6 weeks of low-rep and 6 of high-rep continuously. My caloric intake is a 40/40/20 ratio with about 2500-3000 calories/day. I have been training since I was 16, but I just guess my body isn’t as responsive as others.

Supplement-wise I do not take meal-replacements but instead just regular protein shakes. For sugars I use dextrose mixed with maltodextrin in an approximately 1:1 ratio mixed in with my shakes. I do not take any other supplements.

From reading around, I believe what I want to take is Winstrol orals. I went to the doc today for a physical and a check on my liver enzymes so I will be getting my bloodwork done tomorrow. I want to go ahead with it once I get the results that my liver enzymes are fine.

Now the problem is that I cannot find the proper information on preparation, how to take the steroid properly and at what times, and information on recovery. I have read the steroid information on winstrol itself, but a lot of it is not clear to a beginner like myself.

I guess my questions are:
-Looking at Winstrol, is it the right one to take?
-Can I take it alone without stacking anything else?
-How worried do I have to be about my liver, and what products can I take to keep my liver safer?
-What should I take to prepare?
-What else should I take/do to keep me safe during and after finishing the X weeks of Winstrol?
-Should I adjust my diet or anything else I have listed in order to be safer?
-Any generic advice or products you think would help in my efforts.

You are gonna get ripped for a couple things so here is a heads up. First people will comment on your age, your lack of calories, an all oral cycle, so be prepared.

I will not get into your age because I will not be a hypocrite, when you start is when you start that is your decision.

However your calories are low for you to put on some mass, and your bf seems a little high, are you eating clean?

An all oral winstrol cycle is not what I or I think anyone else would recommend. Training and diet come first then anabolics, if you can’t master the first two don’t venture into the third. If you are worried about your liver winstrol is not the steroid to take especially the oral version.

So first I would say stay natural a little bit longer (which you probably won’t haha but just opinion) Eat clean, make sure everything is in order then start off with something like a test/dbol cycle. I think you need to do some more research before you venture into roids. I started young too but I read as much as I could, asked as many people as I could, and made sure my diet wouldn’t waste the compounds I would be using.

jb’s right. You’re getting way ahead of yourself, and looking for the “quick fix” to get cut. The ‘senior’ guys on this site are going to have a heyday with you, based off your questions.

You want to get cut - increase your cardio first. Winstrol is something you’d use only for about six weeks. I’d be willing to bet a six week intensive cardio program added to your weight training program would give you comparable results.

Simplistically speaking, your weight training is a carb burning routine. So is the first X amount of time with your cardio program. Your body ‘changes’ from carb burning to fat burning at point X in a cardio workout. Add a three to four mile run, for instance, at the end of your weight training program, three to four times a week, and you’ll add that fat burning that you want.

If that’s not enough, run more. Or bike, whatever.

Read these forums, and you’ll understand.

Like the other guys said I would wait at least a few more years. I was once in your shoes, but I’m glad I waited until 23, which is still too young by most people. Man when I was 19 I took some natural test boosters and I remember that just threw things into over drive, since at that age you are already maxing out your natural test. Haha with a bit of TRIBEX I couldn’t eat enough or get rid of a boner to save my life!

Anyway I would suggest maybe some natural test boosters, maybe some HOT-ROX and cardio. If you are in college join a sports team to help keep that beer gut off. For cardio I suggest the rowing machine with a 1minute all out 30secs active rest and repeat workout.

As far as the diet goes, check out the AD. That diet is great for reducing fat while keeping/gaining muscle. You’re in your prime man, no need to take steroids just yet!

Damn, I’m 45 with the same stats (little less BF) and goals and I wouldn’t consider steroids for fat loss. If you can’t slim down at 19 years old IT’S YOUR DIET!!! Get your nutrition in order (yes, that means no beer!) for a few weeks and re-evaluate. Try a fat burner like HOT-ROX. If you want to jump up a level do a search on Albuterol. It’s a beta agonist (releases fat) and metabolic up-regulator (burns fat) with some anabolic properties (although it’s not a steroid). It’s very similar to Clenbuterol but not as “jittery”. The best source seems to be Chem One Research, good service with the best prices.

Save the steroids for bulking up some day. It’s true some are used on cutting cycles (Primobolan???) but don’t forget, you’ll probably be ravenous all the time which can easily cancel out any benefits.

Thanks for all the input guys. I do currently have a cardio program to go along with my weight training, but it isn’t as intense as a 3-4 mile after my workout. It is usually a 1-1.5 mile.

To Crewpierce: I don’t like to get into the habit of buying products online, even if it is legit. Can you name any legit (I know those supplement stores like to BS a lot) test booster I can pick up at my local GNC?

Also, I have read up on the AD. I like the sounds of it, but I had a few questions on it as well.
-How long should I be on it?
-Should I ease my way back into carbs once I’m satisfied, or should I start packing the dextrose/maltodextrin and natural carbs right away?
-The AD manual I read says that it takes two days to get into ketosis at first. How drastic is the fat loss?
-My last question is perhaps my most important one: How detrimental is it to the heart and arteries?

Also, I just did a search on Albuterol. I guess I have to convince my doc to give me a prescription. My other question: Is albuterol+AD overkill, or dangerous?

The AD can actually be GOOD for you! I think Jen H. did an article about the AD recently that mentioned that.

I would certainly ease yourself back into carbs, and I think you meant that it takes 2 WEEKS, not days to go into fat burning. The fat loss is pretty good man, esp. with added in cardio, I think you’ll be surprised!

As far as natural test booster, I know a lot of people will say you don’t need it at your age blah blah blah, but for me it made a world of difference. I would just go with something simple like TRIBEX here on T-Nation. GNC is WAY over-priced for everything!! I know Vitrix by Nutrex worked for me pretty well also, and I think GNC may carry it if you are hell bent on going to a store.

Dude, fix your diet.

Check out the Anabolic Diet. More of a lifestyle than a diet, FUN, and you can modify to your needs (losing bodyfat, for example, while maintaining your muscle).

19 is way too young for steroids.

I wanted to clarify one thing before I look retarded.

The last poster referred to the anabolic diet, while the others referred to “AD”. Before the last poster I thought that “AD” meant the atkins diet. Now I see both diets are similar in some respects.

My question is: Did the other posters mean anabolic diet by “AD” as well, or atkins diet?

Bumping this up for much needed answers, if anyone can help.

Also, if anyone can PM me and has some free time to get a diet plan worked out with me, I’m willing to pay a fee.

Check out the “Get Shredded Diet” by Berardi. It works like a charm.

Fat burners and diets are mutually supportive but, of course, relying on drugs to compensate for poor diet is a bad idea. Albuterol is the basis for most of the asthma inhalers on the market. Your doctor probably won’t prescribe a liquid version for fat loss. It’s sold as a research chemical so you can buy it online for doing experiments with your “lab rats”.

I would stick with a simple fat burner like HOT-ROX for now and get your diet dialed in. Cut your carb intake for a start and replace those carbs with raw vegetables. Veggies are great for keeping your hunger at bay while low-carb dieting. Not to mention the fiber, anti-oxidants, phyto-chemicals, etc. Buy a big variety, chop them up and crunch all day. Great for the AD (either one).

I checked out the get shredded diet. It says, however, that you shouldn’t do it if you are closer to 20% BF than 10%, but I have also read on others who have done it starting at 20% and had really successful results. I’m doing my shopping this weekend. Either way, both the get shredded diet and the AD require similar food, just a different caloric intake.

My question is, which is better for shedding off the pounds? I’m not looking to gain any more mass until my gut is gone first, then I’ll do the regular bulk and cut intervals. However, gaining a little lean mass while still shedding off the fat wouldn’t hurt (I said a little! I know those two goals are counter-productive).

As for the gear, I already have the winny (200 pills, 10mg pills, was planning to take 50mg/day).
However, I have no problem holding onto it for a while until I get my diet and new workout plan in check and all that. The reason I chose winny is because since this will be the very first time I use steroids, I wanted something milder, something I wouldn’t need to worry about completely in the area of gynocomastia (if I am correct that there is no conversion to estrogen, if anyone can confirm).

For future reference though, when I decide to take it, what product should I get to protect my liver (such as milk thistle, which I hear works, but I have also heard the name liv52 tossed around) and whereabouts can I get it? Do I need anything after it is over to recover? or to take during, other than liver protection?
I won’t be doing this stuff until I am completely sure this is what I want to do.
