I’m looking to get a shirt too. I know you can’t get it on by yourself, but how important are the side spots?

I generally workout by myself and getting three people to give a decent spot is damn near impossible in my gym.

You will need 3 spotters when you are not sure if your handoff man can pick the weight up off you/catch if you miss. It is your face that will get smashed in if you miss and he doesn’t catch it.

I like side spotters for anything over 365 just to be safe. If you don’t have em, oh well gotta live on the edge right?

Thanks man, thats what I was afraid of. I’ve been needing workout partners but I guess this is a good time to track some down. If I get anything at all out the shirt I’m going to be over 365.

Shirt did seem a little loose just judging from arm position. How tough was the touch?

Also, the angle wasn’t good, but if you compete watch how low you go on the touch. Just below the nipple or you’ll get called. (according to the instructions we received at the last meet.)

Might want to tuck the elbows a little too. Or not. Whatever works best for you.

Just my opinions and I’m by no means an expert.

One thing I’ve noticed with judges at competitions also is the more smooth and under control you lower the bar, the sooner you will get a press command as opposed to quick descent.

Also, that guy in the white shirt…whazzup with that? LOL.

The only other thing I have to say is that I’ve heard that the Titan is superior shirt to the Inzer, but I suppose that’s a matter of opinion also.

For what it’s worth.

Tweak your shirt out, make sure to pull the front down tight, like someone else said the closed back polys tend to get slack in the chest area.

Have someone grab the bottom of the shirt and the neck and tug DOWN (the neck should be heavily stitched so don’t worry about tearing it). It’ll lower the “sweet spot” slightly but it’ll increase the pop out of the hole because it should be tighter on the chest now.

As long as you’re not belly benching you should be okay.

I was half an inch from touching on the first rep, second touched but I dropped it outta the groove.

Because of the way I arch the bar usually hits about 1-2 inches below my nipps so I’m just about in allowed territory. I would imagine tucking my elbows would jsut make it worse because I’d need to bring it lower to keep my elbows under the bar.

As for inzer v titan… Yeah titan are the better shirt from what I’ve heard but I just put the phenomn on because there was one there!! I’m ordering an F6 in the coming weeks.

THanks for the pointers.

looking strong man, keep it up.
