I did as Saps says, add milk. Although I only added a halk gallon of whole milk. I also made sure to toss in a tbs or two of olive oil in nearly all the food i cooked, and when it came to protein shake time-I added 1-2 tbs of creamy peanut butter with the milk. I was worried at first that I may need a blender for the shake with peanut butter but you really dont.
As long as its creamy, nut chunky, you can just shake the piss out of it with a shaker cup. By adding pb, olive oil, and half a gallon+ per day, that eeeeasily adds 2000 cals to your diet. -Mainly good fats too not sat. Good luck, the first one should be the most fun.[/quote]
Thanks for the tip. I don’t know that I can get my hands on any olive or canola oil at this juncture in my deployment…short timing with less then a month and a half left over here. But I’ll check at the dining facility and see what they can get me! The peanut butter I can definitely do though.
Saps - Today is the first day I am drinking a gallon of milk, and it hasn’t been very hard at all. I LOVE milk to death so it’s no problem for me! Remember I told you that 1 gallon is 19 200ml cartons, well i just drank my 15th one, and still have about 2 hours before bed time, so it should be pretty easy to keep this up. That is of course, if I can get it everyday from the defac as easily as I did today!
BTW, stepped on scale today after workout (evening time) and saw 183lbs…
A little trick I have for mixing PB in with a shake: put the PB in the shaker with a bit of boiling water, and shake until it’s emulsified (some pressure will build up in the shaker). Then add your powder and milk and shake as usual.
Started my 4th week on Monday, and am up 10lbs weight wise. Feeling pretty good about the whole thing, lifts are getting better, and I feel like an animal in the Gym. Hungry as hell ALL the time. I took saps advice and started drinking a gallon of milk a day, that’s helped get those extra calories for sure. The milk alone is a 1000 calories a day. Still at about 8% body fat, but I’m dealing with that!
Can’t wait for tomorrow, back day, and just annihilate it. I’ve also been doing the FST7 at the end of my workouts, and DAMN does it leave you with an intense pump. If you guys haven’t tried it, I’d check into it! Anyways, I’ll keep you guys posted next week!
4 Weeks down, Starting my 5th week tomorrow and weight tonight was 187.4. DAMN! I’m stoked man, I’m looking to gain 5-8 more pounds over the next 4 weeks, but if I gain another 10lbs I wouldn’t be too upset. ha. Body fat is still 8%, that hasn’t changed. But my gains are getting more impressive. Put 295lbs up on the bench last week for the first time in HISTORY! lol.
If you guys can’t tell I’m pretty excited about the progress. On top of the gear, my nutrition has been on point! Sticking to 4000-4500 calories a day and protein/carbs at 320-350g (each). No neg side effects, so far, other then a tiny bit of acne on my chest, but I aint worried about that. That’s all for now…Keep ya’ll posted again next week.
