I’m planning my first cycle to expedite the recovery from shoulder surgery. I am 8 months into physio and I have been back lifting for 2 months now. The type of surgery that i’ve had expects a 12 month ‘full recovery’ process.
Given that i’ve had the shoulder rebuilt with screws added and ligaments and muscles cut and reattached I am trying to find a way to get back to living with a productive arm.
Here’s the plan.
Back to the gym 5 hard days a week, 4 with cardio (half hour light jog). I am 30 yrs old, 6 foot 1 and am currently 210 lbs. I’ve lost about 30 pounds post surgery (not weightlifting and am down to 210 with 23% bf). Before that I was closer to 26% bf.
Diet isn’t an issue. I eat clean full time, no execeptions.
Here is the plan.
8 weeks of winstrol (60 tabs @ 30 mg) with;
8 weeks of anavar (60 tabs @ 20 mg)
I am hoping that this can help jump start the muscle rebuilding process and help cut down the recovery time.
I’ve heard that HGH may also be a thought as it can assist with the repair processes I’m looking for.
Anabolic steroids sounds like a bad idea. You didn’t say what the surgery was for but generally speaking the AAS may atcually be counterproductive. The muscles will get stronger but the tendons wont. That sounds like something that should be avoided like the plague in your case, no?
Winstrol is an espcially poor choice due to its negative effect on the joints in general.
Human growth hormone in the appropriate dose/protocol is a much better idea for injury rehab.
My surgery was for a muscle that had been torn off the bone due to repeated dislocations. Weightlifting actually helped build muscle around the joint capsule so it didn’t dislocate. I am trying to ensure that I don’t do any more damage with any future dislocations by building up the surrounding region so the ball of the shoulder has nowhere to go.
Why are you thinking that anavar and winstrol would be more productive than low dose testosterone for this situation?
And explain the ‘clean eating’ part. Not that it really has much relevance to shoulder rehab but how can you be anywhere near 25% bodyfat while eating clean? Or is the clean eating a new thing?
The clean eating is a newer thing. I was eating very cleanly right up until I was told that the surgery was required. I was running about 220 before all of that and I do not know what my bf would have been then. At the time of the injury I had visible upper abdominals but I certianly wasn’t working towards getting cut. I was far more interested in building overall size.
I am asking the question if the current suggested stack is possibly the most effective or if there are any suggestions.

No, Bonez is right. this is not a good cycle idea. His suggestion of low dose test and an appropriate dose of HGH would be much more likely to help strengthen tendons and help you recover.
What sort of plan would you recommend for this type of goal?
Again, I am not all that interested in getting cut. I do want to build my shoulder muscles back to the point that I can get back to working out normally. The ligaments and tendons are pretty good but the muscle capsule is what I need to work on so this doesn’t occur again.
