First Cut Cycle Advice

Hi Team,

I’m 36yo male, olympic weightlifter, weighing at 110kg/30%BF and looking to drop about 20kg of fat.

I have trained since I was 15 and experienced with Sarms and Ephedrine.

But what to try a clen cycle and want to understand what is best for me to run with it. I’ve heard, keto, Yohimbe are good additions, but also people telling me I should be using test, dbol/TBol, primo.

There’s so much info out there, I don’t know what to pick.

If you were designing your first cut, what would you advise to cut fat quickly and keep as much muscle mass as possible

How tall are you? With your stats i’m not seeing a ton of muscle here unless you are very short? You LBM is only 170lbs.

Clen is hard on the heart. With your stats I would hold off on that until your with 8-10lbs of your goal.

If I was designing a cutting protocol I would first look at current diet and training/cardio. What does this look like for you? You give vrtually 0 info about yourself here.

Apologies I’m 5ft10.

I train 5/6 days a week, follow 3 days on, 1 day off routine. 2 X olympic lifting sessions, 4 x CrossFit workouts at RX heavy weight. Walk 8km a day for my cardio

Current diet is pretty balanced, I eat clean during the week, mostly chicken rice/potato etc. around 2000 per day during week and 3000 per day at weekends. Id say my TDEE is 2500-2800 according to both manual calculations and my heart rate monitor.

I overestimated on my BF to be safe, various scales tell me I’m around 22-27%, but I’ll do a caliper reading and get a more accurate number.

I was looking for guidance mostly on the Clen, if you think it’s not worth while, then I won’t, I came here for advice.

I don’t want to lose muscle mass and wanted to use my cycle to maintain/grow some muscle at the same time. I know I could do a raw cut, but my fear is I’ll lose a lot of my size in doing so as Im not taking anything that will help me maintain as much muscle as possible.

I have been a member on T-Nation a few years and have been fairly active. The members who are willing to reply to you are more likely to be what could be said to be brutally honest. They seem to approach pharmaceuticals from a conservative angle when it seems the questioner hasn’t given the drug free path an honest effort.

To that point, if you get your diet correct you will easily get your percent body fat below 15% without any pharmaceutical assistance.

I don’t consider diet should be looked at as a cycle, especially if it is not done for a demanding athletic quest or photoshoot. You should be approaching diet as a lifestyle.

IMO, don’t try to lose fat fast. Clean up your diet and gradually lose the fat. If you are eating a large amount of protein while losing fat slowly, you should be keeping most of your muscle. And if you hadn’t been eating sufficient protein before, you could actually add some muscle.

Thanks Nomad. So heres another question then. If I want to recomp and round myself out whilst cutting down. Is there a protocol you’d recommend. Something that going to keep me looking fuller and potentially add some muslcle and strength whilst I’m on a slower cut.

I’ll take your advice and work my way down to 15% before using anything like Clen.

I want to feel and look great on the beach this summer so I want fantastic results. What would you or anyone else suggest?
