Hands on hip for me looks good I can’t decide if it’s better then the “2cnd MM” though. Agree with what BBB is saying about the side chest post, though your arm does look thick.

I KNEW the hands on hips MM would look good. The only issue is with it making your waist look a tad bit thick, while the second MM conceals it. Both are very good though.

Any plans to develop a ‘Zane-y’ type vacuum pose? I reckon you should be able to pull it off by the time of the comp, since it already looks like like it’s part way there.

Great progress!

Thanks BBB!

Do you mean the Zane Front double bi vacuum or did he also do a front lat spread one too?

Personally I think you look best in the hands on hips MM.

Also, why not supinate your hand in the side chest pose, to pop the bicep? It looks a little under-emphasised currently IMO.

I’m gonna give the supinated wrist a try next update.

I’ll take a few more of each next update and also I’ll try a bit more bent over, like crab style.

hahah, u were right! I think the pressure i put on my hips makes my waist appear larger…I’m gonna try and play around with this pose.

Meh, hands on hips pose rarely looks the best. Not many people use it and it’s really only a good one if you have massive arms but that’s your weak point. It also almost always makes the waist appear larger and thicker so…yah.

His shoulder width and shoulders in general look much better in the hands on hips version though. It displays his lats well too. The 2nd MM (maybe because he’s not flexing his lats) makes him look narrower than he really is.

When he learns how to hit that pose better (2nd version of the MM0, it will be superior IMO. Posing still looks a little awkward in some poses. you’ll get there Ev.

Pfft don’t listen to these noobsauces.

I was gonna say the same thing. Definitely seem to need some big ass arms for that pose. My favorite of you so far is still the hands clasped.

Hey Evan,
I know it’s possible that you’ve taken pictures of it, not liked it, and not posted them, but have you tried a MM with a forward torso lean to showcase the traps/chest?
Or is there a specific reason you’re doing them all upright?

picture attached for an example.

Check out the final picture on Page 3.

I saw that (and thought it was one of the best looking MM’s he posted IMO) when I skimmed the whole thread again to make sure he didn’t post one like what I’m saying, but he’s not really popping his traps up in it, so it’s not quite what I meant.

I gotcha. I’ve always just thought a crab MM is a crab MM.

165, Bug, Way, KB: Thanks for the comments and help guys, I really appreciate it.

Blaze: I’ll give this one a try next update. There’s no real reason I haven’t been doing it, so I might as well give it a try!

Looking great so far, those quads are going to kill it!

With the hands-on-hips MM, I prefer the hands to be a bit lower – like you’re grabbing your hip flexors. That position might allow you to highlight your chest a bit more.

Honestly I can’t remember a specific pose other than the ‘proper’ vacuum pose (elbows by head), but he always had that slightly concave midsection in all of his poses IIRC.

I’ll give it a try on the FDB. Thanks!

I’ll give that a try, thanks for the advice! But I do agree with many in this thread that have said since my arms are a weakpoint, it might not be the best pose for me. We’ll see though!
