First Caveman...Now Mountain Man

You guys sound like a bunch of chicks. The guy looks like he’s worked hard, and he does know how to stay lean.

So he knows how to light a picture to accentuate. And, after going over to bb.com, it appears he’s bright at promoting himself. Good for him. Curb the jealousy for chrissakes.[/quote]

Um…there is no jealousy. Promise.

I think he has a good physique. This came up on the PN forum aswell. He has an interview at bodybuilding.com.

The mountain man is lean and obviously works out, but I doubt many would be jealous. I was more impressed with his guitar work.

I just read his interview on BB.com.

He seems like a cool guy. You can tell he has a very positive mind-muscle connection. His physique is unique and interesting.

I think it’s inspirational when a guy takes complete ownership of of his physique and builds exactly the body he wants.

To me, he represents all that natural bodybuilding should be.

Not much muscle? “A bit” cut?

He’s not huge, but he has at least an okay amount of muscle and I’d say that it’s very cut (he’s looks bigger in some of his pics on his interview at bodybuilding.com… but it’s hard to tell without a frame of reference… i.e. him standing next to something).

Not everyone wants to weigh 250lbs, so if getting cut and staying lean are his goals, I think that he’s doing a pretty good job.

Give me a fucking break. This guy has displayed a better physique than 99% of the wannabes on this site. I’ll give the following exceptions to MadTitan, Amsterdam Animal, Prof X (what I saw in his profile), and Caveman. Forgive me if I missed anyone but I turned the physiques section to disabled a while back.

I’m 100% T-Nation becuase the articles are written by quality coaches, not someone trying to get $25 store credit (bodybuilding.com) but the members here display a serious case of tall poppy syndrome.

Here are his other shots…

He’s not huge but I’ll give him credit for staying lean and obviously working hard.

Also, if this gets past the mods, there is an interview with him at the moment on BB.com which probably wouldn’t hurt some of T-Nations members to have a look at.

In closing, I think bodyspace is totally lame but I do check it every day because the chicks slut it up every day trying to score the most visits too their profile. Check out ChickenTuna. Well worth a look.

Mods Sorry if this looks like a BB.com plug, but I feel some things needed to be said.

Hahaha. I’ll pay that one DB. I very rarely get an out loud laugh in forums.

Cannot say I disagree too much (although he could use more size). But good post.

He certainly does not match up with a classic “bodybuilder” physique due to his lack of overall size, but he looks good and obviously works hard and with dedication. I cannot knock him for that.

ChickenTuna is hot, 100% pure Grade-A MILF.

I like to check out ivy78 as well.

In Australia, on any beach, that is a pretty average physique. I am not saying he doesn’t look good, but what really annoys me is that I get the impression there is an army of worshippers out there thinking he is the greatest.

It does NOT annoy me that a lot of people want that physique.

What DOES annoy me is that is a NORMAL AVERAGE PHYSIQUE that everyone should have growing up and living an active lifestyle and maybe lifting some weights instead of reading articles analysing routines and being fanboys.

What annoys me is that the average has fallen to either really fat and lazy, or really thin and wasted, and what is worse, the GOALS of most people - their long term ultimate aim - is to be what used to be average: not fat, can see your abs, a tiny bit of muscle, mediocre strength.

You are not cut unless you can see striations on the muscles. Seeing abs is NOT CUT. Seeing a bit of muscle shape is NOT CUT.

I don’t know anything about the guy but my impression is that anyone who can pull off a beard like that has got to have a sense of humour and be a cool kind of guy, or be a nutcase. He’s eating eggshell as if it was hardcore instead of stupid, so perhaps a little of both.

My guess is the guy is an OK guy but this is a bodybuilding forum, when stuff like this comes along, I’d shudder if everyone starting saying how great the guy looks, and what a great idea it is to start eating whole eggs.

As far as I am concerned this site should be about cutting edge nutrition and the ultimate in human physique development. NOT about aiming for the mediocre and doing the stupid. And definetely not about giving the impression to beginners that this guy is the ultimate to aspire to.

Oh please. Too many beer drinkers in Australia to have that is the average physique.

He has some muscle, is very lean and know how to light himself to look as cut as possible. He is not superman or anything but he is clearly very fit and puts in some work.

ON THE BEACH, not average for the country. Australia has the fattest people in the world now, on average, fattest kids and fattest adults. Better stats on the beach though. Disgraceful for the rest of the country.

If you read Mountain Man’s interview you can see the pictures from when he was 60 pounds overweight.

I think his physique is well above average, keep in mind he is 34.

Most 34 year olds are out of shape.

I just read the article, he actually seems like a pretty cool guy and would fit in well around here.

The whole egg eating thing was just to make a point he says, not something he does every day or recommends.

There are a lot more pictures on there and he really does have a good physique, prob not as big as some would like to get, but pretty muscular and very ripped.

I’d be very surprised if ANY beach had that as an average physique. (possible exception of muscle beach in Venice)

I take everything negative back, after reading the interview with him. Good on him, I wish more people would do what he does (except for the eating eggshells bit).

I don’t think he is training properly and wouldn’t recommend his routines/approach, but he certainly has enthusiasm - and get this, actually lifts weights.

Interview link again

Also, “I only weighed 136 pounds back then and I wanted to get bigger” - good on him for his efforts to not be incredibly skinny. He also went to being way too fat and cut back.

Looks like he’s a constipated Christopher Reeve trying to play an angry dwarf.

I like how he stated that he’s out to destroy the “pretty boys” 10 points from me for that.

That was a very interesting listen. He’s good at that.
