So I am back from Miami and well almost recovered ;-). The meet went, well ok, not great but better than others.
I did not make the 90kg weight in as I was 2.3kg heavy – not from a lack of trying tho. I drank like a dang fish and ate lemons, soaked in an epsom’s salt bath, put on my juniper oil and still was heavy :(, dang chemo.
Lifting went ok, had some issues with depth on squat – but did get my opener and the higher weights felt very easy(they all just flew up), just need to work on getting my dang a@@ down in the next 6 weeks. It will help to train in the suit I will be lifting in this time around. Bench went a little better even though I know I have benched more in the past – pre surgery and chemo – I will take what I got this time around. And Deadlift – well I could not get into my suit at all so I pulled raw, getting my opener and second attempts.
I totaled 420kg with a 155kg squat, 100kg bench and a 165kg deadlift. Now know where I am for World’s – time to get back to work for the next meet.

Sounds like it was a good test to see where you’re at. It’s only 6 or 7 weeks to worlds now right?

Training – yep back at it. No time to rest for the insane! ![]()
I have upped my Cardio in hopes of dropping the water/extra body weight that chemo was so kind to give me. It is not as much or exactly what I had planned on doing, but at least I am up and moving more every day. Having started Radiation, by the end of the week I am a bit exhausted and the amount of cardio seems to die off. I am working on it – but I will rest when my body tells me to ;-).

Looking good. Like the pulling off 100lb plate. Nothing ever increased or increases my DL like that move.
Consider board presses as a staple.
Looking for meets as i wind up some health issues. Kids sports (Daughter 1-cross country, Son Football and baseball, Daughter 2-Swimming)have priority for me.

Yep, I fly in three weeks and lift in just under four.
The Hips were ok, mostly because I was not wearing a suit during the really high volume of squats – just my knee sleeves and on the last few a belt.
