So one more World meet down. Not even close to my best total – but not my worse either.
I did get a total and brought home the Gold…
Now on to the next one in less than 30 days…I think I have lost my mind.

I saw that you got the Gold on powerliftingwatch.com. Actually James saw and pointed it out to me. WHOO HOOO!
We actually are going to use you as a “SO THERE!” example. James’ sister is a breast cancer survivor and dead set against weightlifting in any way, shape, or form. Apparently there was some notion several years ago that weightlifting was BAD for those who had had mastectomy. She generalized this to weightlifting is bad for all women, and harangued her poor mother, my MIL and weightlifting buddy, that she should not be lifting weights. Even though her doctor told her it was great that she was doing it.
Actually, there are several new studies that show that lifting post mastectomy actually helps prevent or improve lymphodema, from which she suffers…
But anyway, I am going to myob, but did share your success with MIL so she stops caring what her daughter says about her weightlifting activities.

PS-_WHOOO HOOO about the gold! You are an inspiration to us all.
