Diana,

Right now they are running any where from 2-3 hrs.

About 1 hr of that is on the squats/bench or deadlift.

Malinda

Wow, and people think I spend a long time in the gym.
I am missing the gym, but still don’t feel that great.
Diana

Nice squatting and nice you didn’t have to work on Christmas.

How’s your training going?

Claire

I forgot to mention, thank you for the Christmas card. I loved it:) It was a pleasant surprize.

I mentioned to Sonja and Tom that you have been helping with my training and they had a lot of positive things to say about you:)

Claire

Hey Claire,

You are most welcome ;). You sure they knew who you were talking about ;)? I am glad that you are working with them now, Tom is a smart guy and Sonja is a good lifter as well.

My training is going ok – the past two weeks have been kinda tough with the gym closing so much for the holidays. I worked yesterday and they are closed today and tomorrow, then of course it is back to work for me on Wednesday. So it will be an off week for training…

Just hoping the rest does me some good.

My last bench training on Friday was ok

135
145
155
160
180
170
190

Saturday’s training Deadlift

135
225
275
305
belt
320
I was supposed to do the following, but did not get the sets done. I tried the 335, but it would not budge off the floor… :frowning:

335
325
350

Maybe next week

Malinda

I think the rest will do you good.

Your mind just wasn’t ready for the 335. Next week it WILL BE.

Word  And Happy New Year!

Ok…so the eating plan is back on track and I am down over 7 pounds since Christmas day  That was my good news.

I am at a new fire station as of the first of the year – well this one has 6, count them 6, nursing homes in its district and I think the average age of the home owners is 70 or more. So sleeping at night at work has now stopped. Makes training or anything else the next day dang near impossible. But we tried last night anyways…cause I am stubborn.

Squat training – if that is what you want to call it…

Knee sleeves
bar
135
belt
205
knee wraps
245
suit, straps down
295
315
340 – high and it felt harder than it should
straps up
355 – not happening today :frowning:

So, normally I would be worried about this session - and I am alittle frustrated, but I realize that it for one will not help me any and two I was just down right worn out after the day at work. I have been at a slower station for the past 4-5 yrs and I think it will just take me some time to readjust to the days and then I will be fine – problem is I don’t really have time to adjust and still train for nationals… time to put on the thinking cap and come up with a solution.

Malinda

Congrats on your weight loss and new job. I am sure you will figure out some way to get some sleep and your strength will bounce right back.

Claire

Thanks Claire – Was happy with the weight loss, not so much on the station change. But that is the way things go in my department. They must have found out I liked it at my old station ;). Now to drop the next 4 pounds so I make weight in 6 weeks.

4lbs in 6 weeks. Should be easy:)

Oh, I assumed a busier station would be a promotion. Who knows, maybe when you get use to the new co-workers you will love it. Is it closer to home?

Claire

You’ve got a great attitude Malinda.

Any change effects your body so I’m glad your not too disappointed in your squats today. Like Claire said, you’ll bounce right back when you become adjusted to the new hours.

c.

oh, and nice job on the weight loss!!

A couple of miles closer is all – I would rather drive farther and sleep most nights, but hey they didn’t ask me. Yeah the weight loss will be easier as I will be missing more meals as well, LOL.

I will be fine – just gonna take alittle time to adjust, that’s all.
