looking good! I agree with you about the stereotypes for gay men- I know quite a number of gay men, and they are all as different as straight men. I’m sure a lot of women who were fantasizing about firefighters are disappointed, though!
I would be careful working your biceps- the bicep is actually a small muscle that is easy to overtrain- you might get better results by doing less! As for quads, it’s the hated squats I’m afraid. Keep up the good work!

The program is meant to be complementary to an existing program and 50/50 split is just one way of doing it. You can also do 33/33/33. 25/25/25/25 20/20/20/20/20 etc…
The point of this is to not go to failure or particularly fatigue the muscle but to stimulate caplillary growth so that the muscle has better nutrient delivery. this can help u break size plateaus.
While Waterbury champions this concept i have seen many other authors here reference and advocate that specific article/training scheme in their writings

Hey Doc (Paul),
Thank you for your comments. I have to live true to myself and so when the question about my sexual orientation came up all I could do was confirm that I am gay. To do otherwise would have been nothing more than a slap in the face to my gay friends that have suffered persecution in their lives because of who they are.
Women, well, I have to admit that if the right one was in front of me I would not turn her down but that would be where it would end. Emotionally I am drawn to men. I do come across women from time to time that would definitely be worth pursuing but only in a physical manner. Many men would take the “easy” way out and say that they are bisexual but not me. I like men and I like em thick, brawny and muscular. ![]()
I changed my biceps workout a month ago and have been noticing change there. I use reverse incline bench barbell curls, incline bench dumbbell curls, hammer curls, side hammer curls and preacher curls. I have been doing preachers (pun intended) for a while and that is where I noticed that my greatest gains in strength.
On the legs today I did about 9 sets of leg presses, varying my leg position in many of the reps. My legs are like lead now. I also did a variation of a squat by lifting a heavy dumbbell between my legs with my legs in a wide position. I let my butt go way down to almost the floor and back up to the original position. It felt great to burn my legs and I went up to 110# doing those, around 6 sets in full.
Well, take 'er easy and stay in touch.
Steve
just a thought , but if u have seen the most strength gains from preacher curls it may be that ur forearms are limiting ur gains in ur biceps… perhaps some auxiliary forearm work
also hammer grip pull ups i think are one of the best thinks for biceps, plus ur gonna hit ur upper back as well… a lot of bang for u buck on that exercise, and i would recommend it as the first exercise of any day in which u wanted to focus on biceps

Thanks bro. I will definitely be making some changes in the gym on Friday which is biceps and triceps day.

Overall very good physique. I agree with improvement on your arms and possibly shoulders as well.

hi Steve,
hi your biceps from all angles, curls, palmsup pulldowns, work all fibres.
i do 2 sets fast concentric for fast twitch, max 6 reps in 2 sets to failure.
2 sets 8 reps 70% moderate speed 4/2/4,2 sets 20-30 reps aerobic constant speed.4 up 4 dwn.
this works the whole fibre structure and the cells.
I think your posture is slightly off.
Unless you have scoliosis or something similar why do you hunch a litle bit in your pictures?
A picture from the side would be good.

A google search for “wilmington firefighter workout” gave me this.
First hit: “Gay North Carolina (NC) Military Guys: Gay Military Guy Dating …”
Second hit: “Dad Gay Dating Dad Singles Dad Gay Personals Dad Men.”
Third hit: “Christian Gay Dating Christian Singles Christian Gay Personals …”
So… You’re the “gay dad man” type? Christian gay? All of the above?
The google keywords are there since I was minding my own business at work and was outed as a gay man in my fire dept. They had googled those very words and up came a personal ad I had on requestadate.com as well as on bodybuilding.com. That got the ball rolling for the church ladies at work to start spreading the rumor. I figured that placing those google keywords here would bring them here to my page so that they could get a nice view of what a true firefighter workout could give them.
But yes, in answer to your question, I am a gay dad. I am a man. I like men. I have a Christian background although I no longer frequent any church due to all the judgmentalism I have been exposed to. I like military men most of all. Why? Because they are usually not your usual stereotypical gay type of man, like the “flamer” type. I don’t like the stereotypical types. NO GIRLY MEN! I like men like the Colt model Bo Dixon. Now that is a manly man.[/quote]
Wow man, thats cool that you know who you are and your comfortable with that. A true man is not afraid of his sexuality and I take my hat off to you (nothing more). I am not gay but I think that you show true personal strength. Great Physique and the only ideas I have are for you to work on your legs. Other than that your looking good man.
Well done. How much Muscle have you gained and how much fat have you lost… Give us more details man.
(sorry if thats all been answered, I just saw your reply and I thought it was cool).

I have become quite comfortable in this whole ordeal of self-realization. I have to be honest with myself and with others. To do otherwise would just be wrong and would not show good character. So, thank you for the compliment. It has indeed taken strength to get to where I am honest with myself and others in this.
The photos are not very good at all. My legs are actually thicker than what they show. I will have to get them from a different angle soon and with better lighting. One of my clients told me the other day that if my legs get any thicker then my body will look out of proportion.
I have not kept good records on my workouts other than my routine. I am not sure how much muscle I have gained nor how much fat I have lost. All I can do is post a before and after photo to give you an indication. That is hard to do since my hard drive is currently out of my computer. I will do what I can to find an old one on a CD.
Good day!

I may have been compensating for a bad night’s sleep in those photos. I am not sure. I had a back injury in June and rebounded after a few weeks but I am not sure if that affected my posture at the time the photos were made. I know that when I was in the middle of the injury I could not stand up straight without significant pain. Deadlifts were the culprit for the injury I believe, too many and when I tired my form was off and that created the injury.
Thank you for noticing though. I wil be paying cloer attention to my posture now that you mentioned it.
I will do a side pic soon.
Schone Tag!
