MiM, love the classic Navy pic! When you mentioned pressing the 50 DBs it reminded me of a thread where some guy was making a big deal about hammer curling the 30s and you came in, all calm and were like “I can hammer the 30s.” You are so awesome!

I have no clue what that food is… but I’m fantasizing its got shredded coconut in it

It was a weird concoction of oat bran, wheat bran, pumpkin, a ton of pumpkin spice, stevia and 2 egg whites…I baked it for about 25 minutes…(sorry, no coconut!!)
It was, hmmm, ok at best. I was just messing around anyway.

I would have said bran if I’d got my post in before you. I experimented with stuff like this - I tried making muffins out of ground almonds, eggs, protein powder and coconut and it was like eating loft insulation.

I remember one time I wanted to make my mom breakfast, so I made some biscuits.
When they came out of the oven, they were actually cookies :confused:
So I named them bisk-ee; you know, half biscuit, half cookie?
Yeah okay.

Buckwheat choco chip n pumpkin spice cookies…had to make up for the weird oatbran pumpkin thing…

I’ve been here before and I know better…ready for another week to hit it hard! Got plenty of butternut squash ready to be burned off, hehe. The following week we’re meeting MIL at her Navy Mom friends beach house in DE for Thanksgiving…should be good times.

Feeling blah and kinda headachy, but the show must go on. My son is home sick today. Hoping beyond hope I don’t get it!!

Victor, the pro bb’er trainer guy at my gym, contacted me and said that he is putting together a bb’ing team(whatever that means) and he could have me show ready by Summer, if I was interested…picks jaw up
Sign me up please!! It would be like the ultimate transformation!

I don’t know all the details just yet. I’m sure there is money involved, something we don’t have a lot of.

I’m not sure where the apprehension is coming from but I feel like I should do it, just so I stop wondering what its all about. You only live once! No regrets!!

At the same time, I feel like I would resent going to the gym to train arms, lol. But it wouldn’t be forever…who knows, maybe I’ll get addicted, become pro, and be Betty the Pro Bodybuilder, get sponsored, endorse the proteinz and live happily ever after.
Then I wake up!

Jackie, the director lady, was talking about me and I didn’t even know it, while I was lifting and had my music on…she caught my attention and said to be careful or I’ll be signed up for a PL’ing without knowing it. She asked again if thats something I want to do and that she would help. It’s like she’s trying to market me in that way…I said I’m not sure what I want to do yet, if anything at all. Im just trying to get and stay healthy!

And then Victor said anytime I want to sit down and talk he would be there. One of his clients was saying, DO IT DO IT DO IT! lol ‘You have the work ethic Betty. Just DO IT!’

What about tattoos? Someone once said, ‘If your jacked, your jacked. Judges really won’t care about tattoos.’

I do have plans for more.

I was nervous about mine showing but I’m not concerned about it any more. You shouldn’t be either.

That’s how I decided that I’d want to compete. What, you thought that I just woke up one morning and said that I want to get a bikini sprayed to my ass and put on falsies and step on stage? Haha
People just see more potential in ourselves than we even see. I’m sure you’re going to do it, because I had the same skepticism as you. But when a lot of people pressure you enough, you cave in and realize how much more you’re made of when working towards something you never imagined doing.

On a separate note, looks like we’re both shaving off the pounds on the assistance pull up.

MiMsie!!! The universe is giving you a big slap on the ass. Don’t fight it by overthinking it. Just roll with it. Talk to Vic, talk to Jackie, get all the info you need, and make things happen!! Worse case you get into something and you decide its not for you. No biggie!

Well i agree with everyone as well Betty. I don’t think it really matters which you end up doing, but if you enjoy the process I bet you will learn a lot along the way. that is enough in itself…and if you win something, than you kiddies will have something to brag about to their friends!

Not sure if I’ve posted these before but what they hay. this was last year. My first bb’ing show, going to support Vic.

And this is Vic…he’s 46, been doing this for over a decade. He’s competing in his last show next week!

And this is Dianne Brown. She won overall. I saw he up close and personal and she is a petite short thing.(Nikki) but on stage she looked larger than life and want her lat spread :slight_smile:
