Finish What You Started

Maschy- strongman comps aren’t planned that far in advance I guess.the closest they get seem to be in PA…theres a lot more PL’ing events down in VA planned in advance…

But if I was going to focus my energy and stick to some form of training structure it would be strongman or bb’ing! (sorry PL’ers!!)

I know. can’t seem to help it… I figure since Im only in the gym 3 days a week, might as well hit it hard each time!
I can get carried away though and have this tendency to want to squeeze everything in. Which makes me feel that I should switch to some sort of split…I can’t seem to commit to that idea though.

Kilt that workout lady! so strong.

I’ma need a spotter if I try those step ups with that weight. How high do you do your step ups, regular bench or something that comes to the pelvis, like me?
Of course my pelvis is your knee but whatever haha

I’ll wait to hear how you feel tomorrow after the smith kickbacks. Yesterday I couldn’t move. Definetely underestimated them.

Great workout MIM!!!

That is a great workout. Please explain the “Smith machine glute thing” - I need to know!

Thank you thank you!

Even more interesting is that I did it with no foodz…wasn’t hungry this morning and didnt want to force anything. Also, done without an energy drink!

Made up for it with a rather starchy dinner…Hamburger stoup…took about 5 minutes to throw together and 2 hours to simmer…and then nom nom nom.

hamburger
2 cans of tomoatos
corn
peas
carrots
rice
potatos

Nikki- sometimes onto a regular bench, but mostly onto this…done set up in a rack with the barbell…

And alternating like Mr Berardi himself…about the same box height too…

I think my legs will feel a bit sore from all the stuff I did today…Ill have to try that move all by there lonesome to really test it… the move itself was more awkward than it was worth…do you think so?? still a good thing to have in the tool box!

Cal- look in Nikki’s log…vid posted!!

Thanks Alpha and Hall!!!

I hope there’s leftovers, I’m coming over for dinner.

I don’t find it awkward. Maybe you were too far away from the bar? If you used the actual machine for that movement, then it’s the same concept. My old gym used to have the actual machine for that, and that movement is great for the upper glutes. But Gold’s apparently doesn’t want their members walking around with high bums :stuck_out_tongue:
But that move tore up my glutes, even better than the actual machine, so even if it was awkward, SO worth it.

Plenty leftover! Thats the prob Im having…I make all this food and it goes to waste. It’ll sit in the fridge all lonely during the week… without the vacuum of a hubby here. I need to make smaller portions I spose… :frowning:

I’ll have to try that move again Nikki. I positioned myself to where I could touch my knee allll the way to the ground and could really kick up all the way if I wanted…it was fun! but the thingy kept catching the pins if I didnt keep my foot just so.

And I was reading the most recent back article and I hate to break it to that guy, but I invented the deadstop db rows  I have proof…

And this is HILARIOUS!!! From last year…my kidlets:

OMG MiM, she’s too cute and so awesome! Haha!

BEER!!!

I think you are looking great, too. Most definitely not obese!

x2 please splain lady!

sounds like a little hell-kitten.

better keep daddy’s beer hidden! lol. let her have a sip and I’l bet she’ll change her mind. (yeah, I have no kids. lol.

I would totally spank you for working out without breakfast. but then you might like that;)

here’s a pic of my neice when she was a week old. My brother and I have our own little wack-o sense of humour. Needless to say mother was not pleased. lol.

When my daughter asks about my beer, I’ll say “Her have some”. It takes one sniff and she runs for the hills!

That’s an adorable vid! I remember when my dad gave me my first sip of beer. Totally gross at that age, but now not so bad.

My kids are weirdos…they LIKE beer!! Which made it even more funny, cause it sounded like our daughter was going through withdrawals or something…Thanks, Dear Husband! haha

Hey Alexus- thanks! And ya, the obese thing. For my height/weight, I’ve been there…but have every intention of not going BACK!!

Hall- the smitch machine glute thing is the vid in Nikki’s log!! DO IT!

Hey LS- thanks for dropping in!!

Woke up this morning at 3am…what is it with 3 am??!
Hard to fall back to sleep sometimes when you go to bed early… I musta dozed off at some point but kept waking between 5 and 6, finally getting out of bed at 620…only to discover that daughter is already downstairs happily playing, waiting for breakfast…she eats at school, buuut, I sent her to bed without her snack last night because all she ate for dinner was some bread.
She said she would eat her dinner, but it wasn’t dinner time anymore! And I didn’t feel like waiting for her to eat three tiny bites and bargain for a dessert. Mean mommy! She didnt fight me too much though.

And yep, my bum is sore…LOVE IT! (that sounds wrong) No spankins N!!
I love going to the gym and hammering the parts that I enjoy working the most…shoulders, back, butt…but I have to include the things Im not good at or dont like to do…one of those is step ups…they hurt to do awhile back, but now no excuses!! The other is squats! I much prefer single leg stuff…

I found an interesting pre-packaged morsel in the form of an Albacore steak…35protein and 1.5F for the little piece! Hope it tastes good…

I never liked beer but I did like shandy and also cider. They’d also let me have wine with lemonade in it.

YOU MUCH PREFER SINGLE LEG STUFF?
hmn…
I officially declare you contrary.

Can’t watch the vid at work but can’t wait to see it when I get home later! Your dolls are soooo squeeee!

contrary to what? lol

Nay, perhaps that is too harsh.
Lets stick with contrary to ME
