You have my sympathies on the back ache. Which bits did you roll to get rid of it?
I know mine got seriously aggravated through squatting. I had postural fatigue backaches before that (from sitting at a computer) but not the “ow I’ve fucked my back” backaches I get now. Gah!
Anyway, I’m like Masch with the dieting. I’ve put weight on recently, and I know that’s because I’ve been indulging myself a bit too often. Deja’s totally correct that not having the binges is a bit part of success. I find I can stick with a strict diet for a while, but then my tastebuds rebel and I splurge.
Are you still IFing?
Thanks all for the kind words…
Alpha- you always know just what to say…thanks. And stay safe wherever you are!
Hey O! Long time no post in my log ![]()
I can squat more than 135, but over the last year I haven’t been focused on getting stronger…all my efforts have gone into getting this weight off and at least maintaining what strength I do have.
RE: diet. I’m just riding it out. I took a few days to eat ‘normally.’ A little mini break. I can see doing that the week AF is due. A deload from training and diet!
Up until late May/June before/after the hubby left, I had been so strict. Then I started baking stuff for the kids every weekend…HA! Not good…
Cal- My back isn’t constantly aching…just about a week before the Witch shows…this time around I had faitfully taken my fish oil everyday for a month and it wasn’t as extreme. hmmmm…
I rolled everything out as best as I could. No clue what I was doing, but it felt good and I need to do it more!!
Just dyed mine too. Noticed I had a few more greys than I realised. Grey hair can look cool, but I’m not ready for that yet. Might as well maintain the illusion of youth for a little longer.

I’ve been dying mine since I was 14! poor hair.
I think it’s cool I can change it with my mood or season,
I’ve had every color of the rainbow in mine. The worst was black hair with bleach streaks in the front.
I was 18 in this pic…one month before I left boot camp, LOL!
Oh and as far as IF’ing…yes, I’ve been doing some form or another for a long while now.
I’ve never eaten a big breakfast and I don’t like having a lot of food in my belly before training anyway. Lunch is my biggest meal of the day…
so it may look something like this:
6-8am coffee coffee coffee
9am-whey or cottage cheese
1130 whey
1pm BIG Lunch
5-6pm small Dinner
8pm snack if I’m starving
And I’m more determined than ever to keep going. No reason to give up now! I haven’t lost sight of my goals and want to rock more shorts like these next Spring/Summer. It was a new discovery I made just as Summer was ending…booty shorts?? I used to hate them and most girls who wear them SHOULD NOT.
The really low waist-ed 3-5 inch seams…ya, I want to OWN those next summer…plus tank tops. Told ya, I want to be strong but look good too. Selfish, slutty, whatever. I didn’t dress that way when I was younger cause I wasn’t comfortable with my body nor did I want the attention from horny boys. Now I’m 31, happily married and confidence is growing.(finally) so does that mean dress like hooker? no.
I just want the choices. If there is a pair of short shorts that I happen to like then I want to wear em damnit!
I’m with you on the clothes! I just want to be able to have the choice of wearing certain things.
Been thinking about dying my hair too. I have a box of this red/brown color that only lasts a certain number of washes. Not sure I want to go permanent yet.
YES! DRESS LIKE A HOOKER! you have been given permission!
I totally understand about the short-shorts. This summer I bought my first pair and enjoyed them on the occasions where that was appropriate (beach, hugely hot days etc.) The key is to combine the slutty piece with a more modest top and non-hooker-esque shoes. Then the outfit as a whole is entirely fine.
woo hoo… booty shorts!!

HAHAHA! I also grant you permission! In fact I urge you!
Of course I love my booty shorts - but like Kimba said, if you show leg, no boobs and vice versa. Thems the rulez!
I happen to like the black!! I think it makes you look exotic…
Haha, thanks for the encouragement and fashion tips…
Already looking forward to it! I’m not a fan of cold weather. Barely climbing out of the 50s today when just a couple weeks ago it was near 100! crazy…
I’m getting a cold ![]()
Woke this morning with a soar throat…outta nowhere! Normally I can feel this stuff coming on.
I’m hoping to will it away, but I’m progressively feeling more icky as the day goes on.
…Moms aren’t allowed to get sick, darnit! Especially without the hubby here to baby me and let me take naps… sigh
Hopefully you kick that cold fast! Lots of people (me included) catching colds lately - must be the cold & flu season starting up.
ya, thanks…I have a feeling it’s going to be a long, cold winter…blech
On a brighter note I am finally starting to tell that I LOOK slimmer. When you can look in the mirror and just tell, its a good thing.
I’ll take a break from the gym to get over the crud, but keep eating the same. Won’t be hard since I don’t feel like eating much anyway.
Today I had a bag of romaine with about 8oz of ckn ![]()
Dinner is ground turkey, cauli and a bit of tomato sauce…
Don’t you get cravings for sweet things, or do you just deal with them? That’s the problem I have.
I get cravings for anything and everything that is ‘off limits.’ But I just deal with it.
I think about why I’m doing this and is that bite or cookie hurting or helping? It’s all mental. It’s when I get off the diet that I seem to get in trouble. But I have to believe that I’ve learned my lesson.
I think maintainence is probably harder than dieting. There is no immediate goal accept to maintain weight and you start getting lazy. At least thats my problem. Until you realize, OOPS! I gained 10 lbs.
As hard as I work to get the weight off it comes back on very very easily. It’s always going to be a balancing act…

glad u can keep control of yourself. i’d hafta have one of these if i were to diet.
Heh, I’m the same. I did the Velocity Diet after all - if there’s ever a supreme test of will, that’s it. I find it difficult to eat “normally” though. I’m very much an all or nothing sort of person.
What is eating “normally?” you mean dieting?
Dieting isn’t ‘normal,’ haha! Theres the slow or moderate way , or the let’s get this shit over with way… I choose the later.
I don’t think I could do 6 shakes a day for however long it is…I’d rather eat my chicken and brocoli and attempt getting creative with other proteinz…
I’m getting my waist back!!
Can’t wait to get back in the gym…this crud seems to be making it’s grand finale, so hopefully it goes away soon. It could have been worse, I think…so yay for immune systems!!
I gotta drag myself to the store now, blah
