I have a client that will be hiking Mt. Kilamanjaro.
Any input from those that have used these products on which you would recommend?
Take into account that space is an issue on the hike (along with temperatures).

If space is a premium, which it likely is for something like this, I’d go with Surge Workout Fuel.
Otherwise, a combination of both products would be best.
With the limited mountaineering I’ve done with them, both products work very well.

I’m pretty sure that Dedicated takes Finibars with him on day-long hunting excursions. I’d go for those.
They’re also more practical (take up less space), and even though they’ll probably freeze, they should thaw pretty quickly if kept close to the skin. Compared to Surge Workout Fuel that they’d either have to pre-mix and keep in a thermos (takes up more space) or carry the loose powder and water separately and mix on the go.
The Finibar will also be more substantial (calories and nutrients), so I think it’ll be of more all-around benefit in this situation.
Also, make sure they take some pics for your next ad campaign. “Jehovasfitness Training: Taking You to New Heights!”*

Much of the food used on mountaineering expeditions is dehydrated, so it’s normal to have to mix things with water from snow melt.
Besides, hydration is a major concern while mountaineering at high elevations, which is why I’d go with Surge Workout Fuel if I had to choose just one of these products.
With that said, it sure would be nice to chew on a FINiBAR for some variety.
