I broke my finger last week playing football. In the meantime, I want to be doing some lifting in the gym and not just do cardio/abs all the time. I am looking for suggestions on what type of unilateral movements I can do to maintain strength somewhat. Does anyone have any ideas? I thought TC wrote an article about this topic after his pec tear, but I haven’t been able to find it. Thanks!
Which finger? I broke my right index finger in 1999. No lifting for two weeks and then was able to do just about everything. Just had to use a strap for pulling exercises, because I could not grip as strongly as necessary with just three fingers.
In 1974, I broke my left wrist. Focused on leg work for four months while that healed. Did some unilaterial type movements on the Univerisal Gym (not many machines back then), mostly one arm pull-downs, one-arm bench presses. That kind of thing. Best of luck with your recovery.
