Finally Got the Lifting Mojo Back... Again

Hi ya’ll…it’s been awhile since I’ve keep a log, but with the mojo flowing again, I’ll give it another try.

Competed in my 2nd Multiply meet about a month ago, and did okay, but definitely have some new goals/PRs to smash this year.

Just received my new SDP (last meet did bench in single ply) and it’s tight but I think it will serve it’s purpose.

Static Holds with Bamboo bar
3 sets @ 1 minute

100 Light band facepulls

Decline overhead situps w/ barbell 3 x 8

100 Light band pushdowns

Definitely going to give those sit-ups a try.

Snap, they sure worked my abs…cramped big time after those sets

Buffalo bar w/dbl Monster Minis (130# at top)
worked up to 1RM of 295 + bands
GHRs/GG’s/Kneeling cable abs/Hack squats

5.14.14 DE Upper
Speed - floor press working weight 160# 8 sets of 3
Close Grip Bench - 175 x 8
DB Press PR- 75’s x 8 for 2 sets
Pulls max reps BW for 9, 9,8
BB Row / DB Rows on the incline / Straight arm pull downs

5.15.14 DE Lower
Speed box squats Buffalo bar with dbl MM (changing to dbl Minis next week- more than 25% band tension for me)
Sumo pulls with 80# chain - PR - 1RM @ 345 + chain
GHRs/GHR-Snatch grip back extn / Rev hyper / DB obliques

Bench against 70# chain
warmups - singles @ 155, 165, 175, 185 (PR)
add Slingshot miss grooved @ 225, so took down to 205, 225, missed at 245

Short work with the SDP again, still breaking it in…way tight on my right arm…275 to 3 brd for 3, then tried 295 to 2 brd, right arm was killing me and I totally missed so, off it comes…

Close grip pin press against 50# chain
8 reps @ 95, 115, 115
SSB JM’s against dbl mini bands
Static BB holds against dbl mini bands

First day in about a week in the gym…felt good, got to get back into my new SDP. Right arm sleeve was extremely tight last time so I pumped up a small football to stretch it out last night, it actually worked, my arm didn’t turn purple this time.

5/31/13 - ME Upper
Bench - shirted to 2 brd with Reverse Average bands
warm ups to 175 raw, then added shoulder saver (didn’t have enough people today to hold boards) with reverse average bands.
315, 335, 365, 385, 405, 415 (which was the best press yet)

Close grip floor press with max chain to an 8RM
135 w/20 chain, 95 w100 chain, same again

decline DB rollbacks
4 sets of 10, 30’s, 35’s 35’s 35’s

standing SSB bar with backward paddling, just moving abs/obliques, this is done for count of 100 each side

rear delts 3 x 20
band pressdowns 100 reps

Really enjoy your training vids. Some great ab ideas you’re posting.

Thank Snap, these ab exercises come straight from the Sweatt Shop and most are killers.

Straight bar squats with 130# chain in full gear.

Briefs 185 w/130# chain
suit bottoms all with 130# in chain, 225,
loose straps up 275#
tighten up straps 315#, miss at 345#, one should never miss :frowning:

100 average band GMs

MIA, just here though, not in training…about 2 1/2 weeks out from SPF Nats…circa max last Sat…against rev micro minis. will be trying to touch to shirt tomorrow.
