Also, i appreciate the attempts, none of the possible vitriol expressed is directed at you, or anyone specific, but the concepts they believe in for no real reason other than they hit x lift in about 32 years as an adult male. lol.
I agree i can do that, it’s been my whole point all along. But do you think I want to waste 3 years getting to 315 when I can do it in half the time?
Also, i think you’d agree as well if someone who didn’t train maxing very much and did 3x10, or some other high volume shit that they’d have SIGNIFICANTLY more potential than someone who continually peaked throughout the years to reach that point.
100% sure they’d have an insane amount of muscle mass over the 5/3/1er or who ever that worked in the 75%+ range
I’m in no position to argue with you, that’s for sure.
You’re likely the most knowledgeable lifter around who has yet to crack a 185 pound bench press. You certainly seem to have a comprehensive understanding of the countless important details of strength-building. I’d go with whatever secret sauce you know about instead of wasting your time running something like 5/3/1 with a low training max and lots of bodybuilding type assistance.
Synopsis for everyone scan reading this.
Op: I had account and everyone hated me. So I left. Now I’m back and I want you to help me with my problems, you wankers.
Everyone else: Err dude -
Op: Fuck you im great!
Everyone else: Err dude
Op: FUCK YOU! Now help me.
This thread lol. Unless some posts got deleted or something I think OP didn’t actually start a fight (went dick mode fast enough though lol) just happened to trigger chris by mentioning blaha
@tzar21 umm you’re a bit of a cunt but FWIW I think I adding muscle/weight is a great way to set yourself up for future strength gains. I did bodybuilding mostly in the beginning (didn’t squat lol) and only recently got into Powerlifting but the mass has been helpful. My mate said just lift heavy now and you’ll get stronger.
Depends how tall you are but 165ish isn’t that light anymore. When I do my first meet I’ll probably come in a bit lighter than that in the 74kg class.
IMO most any program would work well enough for you (even… something you write up yourself *gasp but that’s a different topic) but something I haven’t seen mentioned much is that diet will need to be on point. How are we going to build muscle without decent nutrition? Same goes for fatigue management and recovery with diet being a huge part of it. Maybe sub optimal nutrition is why you ended up bitching out on Canditos and could be what could like take you to the next level
@planetcybertron is that you… I know it was a year ago and stuff but that’s like some QuarterSquatGang level stuff lol. Gotta delete that shit and get the memory of it erased
As a preface, I’d like to say that I see that you’ve been getting shit in this thread, but I’m not here to give you shit. Just to discuss.
Sorry if I missed it in the original post, I see that you stopped LP with bench but did you continue it with squat from 120lbs to 240-255lbs?
Doubling your max in 8 months is very impressive. Granted, your starting point was rather low but it’s impressive nevertheless. I digress.
I think it’s easier to make gains when you’re following a structured program and i also believe that most people on this forum are pretty much just lifting to make gains
Agreed. When you say this, are you talking about wasting time on biceps and calves, or what?
As a big 5/3/1 fanboy, honor demands that I defend this. 5/3/1 is very loosely structured and can be used for building mass > strength, so it’s really up to the individual using 5/3/1 what they want to focus on. It wouldn’t be a bad choice for you honestly. About 5 1/2 months ago I squatted 325 (barely) and used that as my training max. Couple weeks ago I hit 405 (so about an 80lb increase in 5 months) and today I squatted 325x12. (I’m not bragging, just stating facts in order to persuade you to try it. It’s not uncommon for people to make ridiculous strength gains like that within the first 6-12 months)
My point is that it definitely works, it’s very simple, and everyone likes getting stronger. I don’t have beef with anyone on T Nation and I just want to see everybody get stronger and be happy. So if you’re actually looking for a program that isn’t straight up lp, well, you know what I recommend. It’s worth a shot for a few months at least.
I had a feeling you were a Blaha fan. I hear he’s big in Australia, with those Crododile Dundee-style hats he wears.
For real though, I got pissed off because he was giving bullshit advice in a bunch of other threads and then started this one saying that he worships Jason Blaha and credits him with helping him reach a massive 165lbs bench press. Either he is severely mentally ill or is trying to fuck with us.
So, I’m pretentious because I laughed at a program you’ve posted by Jason Blaha? If I’m pretentious, then so are the majority of users on here, because they too would laugh.
I’m glad those videos are up there. They serve as a lesson, and they also serve as a milestone that I’ve had to overcome.
If you’re going to dig up my videos, like I’ve said before, SEARCH MY ENTIRE FUCKING LOG AND DIG UP ALL MY OTHER VIDEOS, that actually show how much I’ve improved, and don’t cherry pick as a means to make yourself feel better because you’re getting bested by chick.
Here, you dropped your insecurities dude, might wanna keep better track of them.
Who the hell said I was a top tier squatter? Nobody. Your word choice is as over dramatic as you are. Calm down buddy.
Whats tough to understand, is you coming back after “everyone hating you”, then coming back acting the same with your new account.
You’re scarded? No. Im quite sure you are retarded though.
Maybe instead of posting old videos to try mock @planetcybertron, go through her log properly and post her recent squat pr of 370ibs. Which is + 120-130ibs higher then yours. Lol
