Fighting

If you aren’t able to talk your way out of it and you know BJJ and are fairly good at it, there is no reason for the fight to continue once you take him to the ground. Usualy anyone who knows kick punch will have a 1 - 1.5 stance so someone who knows a little grappling can take advantage of that and slide in quickly.

Practice shooting with a one arm and exercise two points of control, one with your shoulder (depending if you shoot with left or right arm you’ll use the opposite shoulder) and the other with opposite forearm. Keep it high, around the neck, even even with the collarbone. It won’t take you long to develop a good take down that will concentrate the point of impact of the opponent to the base of the neck, if it doesn’t knock them out, you are still in very tight and can quickly move into mount, a couple of quick elbows/punches and then just jump up.

The point is not to stay down there, it is to execute this as quickly as possible, it will instill immediate fear and surprise into him as well as anyone else around.

At this time you have control of the situation, doesn’t matter how many poeple are there right now is your greatest chance of talking your way out of it, because all eyes are on you, and their attention is undevided. That is if you weren’t the one that started it in the first place. If you did…then i’m sorry but your disrespecting ass deserves to cop it.

Man this is still going??

MMA vs traditional, Striker vs. grappler, BJJ vs pavement and broken glass, these are arguments that go on forever!

Everything has a use and a purpose.

There are too many "if"s in the real world to say “this technique ALWAYS works against THIS one.”

Come on, it’s like an endless cycle… someone armbars you? Grab his nuts. Knife his hand. Shoot his elbow. Get your friend to shoot his back. Get a grenade, blow them all to hell. Etc.

This is becoming pointless… if you want to be stupid and fight for a dumbass reason once the freaking recess bell rings or something, go for it. If you want to follow some of the advice on here and knife or pipe the guy in the head cause it leads to a sweet gang fight, go for it.

A highschool fight to please some acne faced 17 year old chicks is an excellent reason for an all out brawl.

Or maybe I’m wrong and this will be for a honourable, heroic purpose! Or you’re just sparring for fun or something… in which case almost all this advice is useless.

So Nightwing, did you fight the guy or what? You cant start a thread like this and not tell us what happened!!

watch rocky 5, hes a street fighter, tommy gunn doesnt stand a chance

Good reality check. Not that I don’t find some input in this thread worth taking into account for a life/death situation [besides running away at the first opportune moment]. Going into a fight for its own sake is a real dumb move. So you get the upperhand in the fight, and if you just whooped a psycho watch your back for the rest of your life. Nowadays noone shakes hands after a fight, it’s all about grudges and scores to settle. Go watch a good 70’s kung fu movie instead.

Maybe lying in hospital semi-comatose cursing everyone here who gave him sound winning advice.
