Single ply is now considered raw, or maybe that’s RAW

Yeah, multi ply is the new single ply. And hydraulic exo-skeletons are soon to be the new multi ply!!
I heard Robert Downey Jr. deadlifts 1250lbs at the end of his new film in his Iron Man exoskeleton.
and raw is the new black

I thought pink was the new black? So if raw’s the new black, then it must also be the new pink??

Ok, really important question here:
I was planning on wearing a black squat suit and pink knee wraps at my upcoming meet. Does that mean I’m lifting raw??
all his lifts look textbook perfect, and so smooth and effortless. it looks like he’s just warming up, and those were competition lifts??!!!
one other thing tho, in the squat he just seems to be barely holding the bar, certainly not squeezing it tight.
Literally built like a horse. Damn!

What you are watching is absolutely poetry in motion. His squat technique is virtually flawless. Everything this man does is remarkably clean and powerful. He is coached at a level most of us could not even fathom and has likely been hand picked and nurtured for years
Quoted for truth.
It’s a shame that the APF and WPO are the main feds in America and get all the coverage because when people see somethin like this they fail to see the sheer insanity and strenght of it. And see it as being something unusual to squat so “close”.
I wonder how much posterior chain work he does. Or if he does 16 workouts a week. Or GHR’s before and after evey session. I wonder if he uses a 12 inch or 11 inch block and how often he cycles max efffort movements. Actually what percentage does he use for his circa max phases… I’d lvoe to ask him THAT one. I wonder if he starts his good mornings from the top position or does them concentrically. I wonder if he even knows what any of that stuff is. I wonder if he even cares…[/quote]
20 plus years ago when i got into PL, westside stuff was considered crazy unusual. your trainig with percents? dynamically, on a box? what the fuck is a good morning? etc.
amazing to see the pendulem swing so far the other way, when a guy who takes full deep moderate stance squats, walks them out, lifts in shoes with some hell elevation, is considered strang and unusual by the unwashed masses.
Terrific form on the deadlift, and squat for that matter, which is much harder if Im not mistaken. Makes me think he has quite a bit more in the tank on all three lifts.
