Femis Lambrionidis - Russian Phenom

That is one strong bloke. He made those lifts look easy.
Was that really a meet? Or was that his speed day? He made every weight look like it was made of styrofoam.

Does anyone know what squat suit and deadlift suit he uses.
(not that it will help me at all!!!) just curious

Looks like the old 2-tone superior suits from Titan.

He is wearing a Centurian for his squats, and if you notice the little logo on the right strap, it looks like he is pulling in a freakin z or champion suit. Tough to tell what he is benching in.

Couple comments.

 1. To the people commenting on the narrowness of his stance, Olympic shoes and pulling style, if your only exposure to PL has been the internet I can understand statements like that but there is a whole world of lifters (literally) that do things differently than what you read on the internet and watch on youtube.

What you are watching is absolutely poetry in motion. His squat technique is virtually flawless. Everything this man does is remarkably clean and powerful. He is coached at a level most of us could not even fathom and has likely been hand picked and nurtured for years.

I love watching video of the Eastern blok lifters because their technique is always amazing.

 1. In regards to drug use, this was probably filmed at Russian natinals. The Russian lifters are notorious for posting incredible totals (women as well) at their national meets and then showing up on the open worlds platform and not coming anywhere near those totals. If you do a little research you can see exactly what I mean.

No doubt this guy is incredible. It will be fascinating to see, assuming he hits worlds in October, what he totals on that platform.

None of this diminishes the fact that from a technical and strength standpoint this guy is amazing.

Quite true APW. I also think the judging in the Russian nationals is a little less strict than at the Worlds. That’s not to say it’s loose judging by any stretch- it’s just solid, fair judging whereas the Worlds judging is often rediculously strict. I remember watching the Russian nats on the web last year- somebody had posted video of all the 110kg, 125, and 125+ lifts. Great stuff to watch.

I think the Russian nationals looks a lot like how the old USPF nationals used to look- juiceded-up freaks doing solid lifts with crazy poundage in minimal gear. While I have little interest in the USAPL events here in the states. Watching stuff like this makes the IPF look kind of cool.

Quoted for truth.

It’s a shame that the APF and WPO are the main feds in America and get all the coverage because when people see somethin like this they fail to see the sheer insanity and strenght of it. And see it as being something unusual to squat so “close”.

I wonder how much posterior chain work he does. Or if he does 16 workouts a week. Or GHR’s before and after evey session. I wonder if he uses a 12 inch or 11 inch block and how often he cycles max efffort movements. Actually what percentage does he use for his circa max phases… I’d lvoe to ask him THAT one. I wonder if he starts his good mornings from the top position or does them concentrically. I wonder if he even knows what any of that stuff is. I wonder if he even cares…

Forget drug testing, I want some DNA testing. Are we sure he’s human and not some human/alien hybrid? 22yrs old? Are we sure he didn’t just eat a 22yr old for breakfast instead?

Wish I could come up with a better word than amazing. Definately a video to download and save.
No alien, hes 1/3 polar bear, 1/3 silverback gorilla, and 1/3 Chuck Norris.

Why didn’t he compete at the RPF nationals this year?

Not to say that the guy’s bench or deadlift weren’t amazing, but that squat…

420 kg with such ease, and look at the speed of the eccentric also.

absolutely stunning…

They know something more.

Great video

Yes, because Russia is the only country in the world using, and this guy is the only high-level lifter on it too.

Is this guy getting coached by Boris Sheiko? At any rate, this dude is hella strong - typical of them comrades!

babies

If it wasn’t IPF I’m sure people would be screaming about the roids he was on. He’s an amazing lifter, and with a little more work, he’ll be standing #1 on the podium…

Amazing for any age, let alone 22. Shit, I’m 23…
Pretty sure the Russian’s are currently serving a ban for that type of stuff… Awesome lifting regardless!

I find it cool we use the same oly shoes for squatting dowins are great.

420/290/355 for 1065kg at 125+ and the kid’s only 22 years old.

Words escape me.
He is 22 years old and so what? Would it be less impressive if he was 29 or 35 ?
