Feet Position While Squatting

I know u can go wide, or really close. Obvious. I’m wondering what angle you guys point your toes when u squat, under a bar, not the leg press. I noticed u have to have them kinda pointing out, i’ve been pointin them straight jus to see the difference, and i feel like it’s too uncomfortable

Well, balance is always going to be the important consideration. While I TRY to keep my feet as straight as I can (I’ve been using a narrow stance to focus more on my VL), I can almost guarantee that my toes are angled just a tad outward. Yes, it is easier to keep your feet facing straight ahead when using a narrow stance, but it is probably going to have to be a conscious decision for most people.

Mike, i personally point my toes out a little bit this is what comes naturally to me. I remember reading about tom platz squating from different stances and with different toes positions to emphasize certain portions of the quadriceps much like what stu does. Possibly why you experience discomfort may be because your natural foot position points outward.
