Thanks much gals!

Jenn you had better post your progress pic in here…
But I put it on facebook and my workout log… What if people think that’s too many places and then get annoyed with my existence? hahaha
Actually, I just realized I’ve been a pretty annoying person my entire life so why stop now, LOL.

That is great progress. What a huge difference a year can make.

HAHAHAHAHAH ^ I am so proud of you my lil lady!!! I wish I had taken a before pic of my back.

Progress shot from May last year to yesterday. Photos taken in same room at same time of day, with flash.

Weigh 111kg in the top row, got down to 102kg around September last year, and I’m now sitting at 108-110kg depending on the time of day.

Strength is up and waist size is down.

I suppose I’m going for a slow recomp. Diet is low to moderate carb, just enough to keep my strength gains going.

Good work buddy.

Cheers Bird

Good stuff everyone! I’ll try to manipulate lighting and throw something up today. Been sick for the past 2 days and working hard so I should be depleted and shredded.

:-)!!!

Thanks so much everyone!! I am very excited to see what another year of hard work will bring me!

As always, would look better if I could be bothered to cut some fat, but way too addicted to increasing lifts right now.

looking strong Maazer. Just out of interest what are your long-term goals? Are you more focussed on strength or physique or somewhere in the middle? Obviously you are concentrating on strength at the moment.

Great work everyone! (you are all putting me to shame)

Thanks
Right now it’s pretty much all strength. I reckon once I can bench 3 plates, squat 200kg, and pull 250kg+ I’ll have a build I’d be happy with anyway - I’ve always been big b, I’m quite broad shouldered and stand about 6’1" 215, and don’t seem to have any problems putting on size despite not really training/eating for it.

The only attention I pay to looks tends to be damage control on bodyfat - if it looks like I’m starting to get too puffy for my liking I’ll make an effort to eat cleaner for a few weeks, that tends to keep me around the BF level I am now. It’s a higher level than most people here would be happy with, but having gotten stupid lean before, I’m fine with saying that I don’t enjoy the process of getting lean, nor really the feeling of being lean.

EDIT: inb4 “215 isn’t big” - I worded some stuff there^ poorly

I’ll play. Here’s a competition I did at the end of December, went 135x/135/141 in the snatch and 170/177x/184x in the clean and jerk for a 311kg total in the 105kg weight class. You pounds people can do the conversion yourselves, and the snatch miss didn’t make it into the video.

I’m still kicking myself about that jerk at 177, and I had nothing to lose so I went for the glory lift (and a provincial record) at 184. We’ll see if I can get some more interesting training footage over the next few weeks.
Okay that was awesome.

How long you been oly lifting?

About 5 years, though I did do some power cleans and whatnot in training for wrestling before I made the switch. I had hoped to be further ahead at this point than I am now, but life tends to get in the way sometimes. Also I’m a lazy putz. Though I do think I’d be good for a few more kilos with a proper loading phase and taper (doesn’t really happen when your competition is 3 days after Christmas).

Still lean. Gaining mass in legs and biceps and shoulders. Loosing it in upper back. Seems as though as a naughty natty I can’t do it all at once

Posted this in a few places here, but got a video of a strongman comp I did today
