Why on a benign fitness site are so many people averse to sharing any information that they have about themselves in their profile(s)? Even knowing this information can be conjured and not represent anything about the user*s true identity, why do so many people remain “blank?”

Because many people here ask questions or give answers about AAS. Stigma and legal issues motivate most. At least it does me.

More generally, I like being a jackass at times and I don’t really need random shit I’ve said in an online forum --any online forum-- linked to me in RL.
As far as the AAS goes - that makes total sense. I never really go to that part of the forums so out of sight out of mind. Thanks for widening my perspective.
My stats blow but it is the one thing I have that is mine. I know there are people out there that will call you a pussy but only after you have done something as stupid as starting a thread titled “The Beast Awakens.” I understand that vanity can some times interfere and cloud perception.
Posting my stats was my “before picture” I did not have the balls to post. Now that I have torn down the house I took pictures to see what I can build. My vanity rearing its ugly head.
And Lanky - I totally AGREE!!! Which is what fostered my question. If the OPs advice is off the wall like the “Cross Training” thread that is one thing if you can back it up. If it is off the wall and you continue just to pull things from the air and state them as empirical fact, that is something different.

(in advance I would like to apologize for all the “may haves” I have inserted below.)
There is a level of credibility that I am searching for in this instance. (specifically with regards to diet/training) While certain associations you may have or opinions you may have expressed may have negative repercussions to a certain segment of the population, how can this particular site be more or as impactful than say something you say in a bar?
This does leave the chip of accountability on the table, which I believe many people sorely lack, but anyone (outside of a token few) are easily found by those that are driven to look/find them.
Mine was empty for years because I was too lazy to do anything with it. I’ve been so bored at work lately I’ve started filling shit in. Will post pics as soon as I remember to borrow a camera.
