Favre Coming Back For 2007

John Madden will have a hard on if Favre comes back one more year.

So will I.

Brett Favre is an all-time great, but he should have given up. He sucks now. How many interceptions does he throw these days? And it’s not like Green Bay are even good and one more year is going to give him a ring or anything. They are utter rubbish.

LOL! That’s a funny way of putting it.

Rubbish! Fuck off. They were one win away from the playoffs this year, and aside from the 4-12 fluke they haven’t had a losing season since Favre took over.

And who gives a fuck if he throws some interceptions? He’s always thrown interceptions - and he’s always made amazing plays. It’s why people watch him play.

He’s one season away from breaking nearly every conceivable record. Yeah, retire now… good suggestion, moron.

Farve is an idiot. I hope he gets sacked 1st pre game next season and breaks his ribs.
yeah, the chances of that are so high, aren’t they? Cause he hasn’t already proved himself to be the toughest S.O.B. in football. Keep your idiotic opinions to yourself.

Favre doesn’t suck. He still has a great arm and can play almost as well as ever. Two seasons ago he threw a billion interceptions because he was already being sacked on a three-step drop. There was no offensive line. That was the problem, not Favre.

I knew he would come back as there were too many records within easy reach. He will hold them for a few years and then Payton will break them all again.

Completely agree with ya.

I just love to hear people say that Favre sucks. It really shows how ignorant they are.

Oh, he throws interceptions… he sucks. I wonder if the people who criticize him even watch him play. I doubt it. They just see his stats and say, wow, 4 INTs in that game, he really sucks now.

They don’t bother to watch the game to see that they were playing from behind, or that his receivers tipped the ball into the air, or whatever.

I don’t worship Brett, but as long as our backup QB is Aaron Rodgers, he can play as long as he wants. Now, if we had say, Leinert waiting to take over the team, this would be a different story.

Since 2000
16,15,16,21,17,29,18 interceptions per season.

NFC should thank him for coming back.

The pack should move on.

Yeah, if I were a Viqueens fan I’d wish he’d retire too. I don’t know that you are a Vikings fan but you live in Minnesota. So, I just assumed.

Atleast Favre isn’t as bad as Brad Johnson!
He’s no Tarvarias Jackson!

Well, Brett Favre is returning to my beloved Packers for the 2007 season. I for one am happy about this. I am not ready for the Aaron Rodgers era to start.

I know a lot of people think he should have retired years ago because his “skills” have diminished. But I don’t think his skills have diminshed that much.

Sure, as a player ages he loses a step here or there but Favre can still play. And can still guide the Packers to a winning season. And that’s what it’s all about.

Plus, the players want him back, management wants him back and the fans want him back. So, why should he call it quits?
I think the bears would take his skills anytime. He may be older and slower, but he is still better than a lot of other QB’s out there.

Farve + Moss?

That would be an awesome combination. Moss has the ability to catch some of those crazy passes Farve likes to throw into heavy coverage.

As a football fan, that is a combination I would really like to see.

Are you serious? You mean the Tavaris Jackson that’s played in a total of 4 NFL games? The one that has started three games and lost them all? The Tarvaris Jackson that has a 2:4 touchdown to interception ratio? The guy who has never thrown for more than 215 yards in a game? The Tavaris Jackson that has a career qb rating of 62?

If that’s who you’re talking about, I’ll take Favre anyday. Jackson’s got a lot of work to do before he gets compared to Favre. He could start by starting an entire season. Or maybe winning a game.

You bet. You put Favre on the Bears last night and they win. In my opinion. It’s hard to overcome 2 INTs and 2 fumbled snaps by your QB.

I’m totally serious. TOTALLY. Farvra’s Hall of Fame career means nothing because TJack is the man that Brett has always dreamt of being. Men want to be him, and women want to be with him. Not only is he a blue chip talent, but he’s also a sharper dresser than Brett. He owns many leather bound books, and his apartment smells of rich mahogany.

P.S. Bruce Lee could totally kick Farve’s ass.

Since 2000:
9, 12, 12, 10, 10, 4, 8 wins a season. 65 total wins in seven years. Only Indianapolis(76), New England(75), Philadelphia(75), Pittsburgh(72), Denver(70), and Baltimore(67) have had more wins in that time span. And, of those teams, all but Denver has been to a Superbowl since 2000. Also notice that Philadelphia is the only team in the NFC to have more wins since 2000, so you could argue that since 2000 the Packers have been the second best team in the NFC.

Also, regarding the interceptions, chances are you’re going to lead the league in interceptions over the last 7 seasons when you’re one of only two quarterbacks to start every game over that 7 year span. Favre does have the most interceptions since 200, but take a look at number 2 and 3: Jake Plummer and Peyton Manning. You know why? Because they have played almost every game for their team since 2000.

Favre has also thrown for 179 td’s since 2000, second only to Manning. No other quarterback comes within 20 over the same span.

I say he’s earned the right to play as long as he wants.

I agree. You put him on a playoff caliber team and he would have a good year and take them to the playoffs.

I think QB’s get too much credit when they win and too much blame when they lose.

Caliendo is great…“If we could just clone Brett Farve…”

Oh yeah, well, Brett Favre’s house smells of gun powder and has many dead mounted animals on the walls. He also has an extensive collection of Hunting DVDs. And not only do women want to be with him, but men also!

P.S. Brett Favre could totally kick Chuck Norris’s ass!
