To the proponents of the chainsaw:
Have you thought about the massive amount of splatter-back that thing is going to cause, not to mention the horrible ramifications a mishandle can have?
On top of that, we’ve all seen enough ‘educational films’ to know that the fucker is going to run out of fuel-oil at the worst time. And anybody who has used a chainsaw all day knows, the average person isn’t going to just go out and chainsaw all the live-long day esp. for several days in a row.

So, are we talking voodoo zombies, the original Romero style walking dead who can take a licking and keep on ticking, or the more modern flesh eaters that can be taken out with brain damage? And whats the chance of infection?
Agreed, it’s going to be a very scenario-dependent answer. The early Romero-type (i.e. meandering/swarming, bite transmission, slow infection pending mortal wounding) in the country is going to be a very different scenario than the Boyle-type (i.e. fast/mauling, any fluid transmission, near-instant infection regardless of wounding) in the city. A katana or bat would be superlative for the first scenario and would virtually ensure your quick demise in the second.
The smell, I will just need to make sure i shower regularly and don’t use shower gel.
You’ve got it wrong, the closer you smell to exposed rotting flesh and the environment that surrounds it, the more “unscented” you become. Showering, of any type, diminishes this.
If I were going this route, I would go for something electric (presumably car batteries will be in abundance) for three reasons:
Higher payload- Biking anywhere sucks and having to leave stuff behind so you can bike somewhere sucks worse.
Higher velocity/lower effort- I don’t know about you, but most people don’t just hop of the ten-speed and start laying down headshots left and right nor would I want to bike anywhere and then have to start decapitating.
Range- However far you can get on a bike, you can go further faster with electric power. On top of that, you get to the end with electric and then ditch the power and still have a bike.
You’re going to start getting too focused on firing off shots and start standing still when your main objective should be constant movement. Plus firing a gun is going to alert every zombie in the area to your location. Using a hand held weapon will ensure that you only fight when you absolutely have to.
But since we all want to use guns (me too) you’re going to want to use one that will definitely destroy a head (like a magnum) or one that will slow down many (like a tactical 12 gauge).
Zombies also have vision that is worse than the average person, but compensate with better smell/hearing.

I’m not sure where this myth started, but I think we should put it to rest here and now.
The fact that zombies are re-animated corpses negatively effects all their senses equally. It doesn’t increase some and decrease tohers - that’s just plain silly.
This does, however, result in their greatest assest. Since they no longer feel anything a shot to the guts won’t stop them, and they won’t “feel the burn” after hours of chasing you.
I personally would go for something lightweight so I could move freely, I dig the baseball bat, and would most definately have a machette or katana handy.
If we are talking firearms I would go with the 7mm mag for long shots since I would be positioned on a high location. For close quarter combat I would opt for the mossberg 12guage with pistol grips and a modified magazine. On a separate note, anybody read the book World War Z? I recommend it highly.
What kind of music is zombie killing music? Old school: Wagner. Rap: Public Enemy. Heavy Metal: Fear Factory.
Supplements necessary to do the job? Metabolic Drive bars, Spike.
Crew? Ah ha! Kliplemet, 'cause he’s already got skillz. Amsterdam Animal, Varqanir. I expect to revise this list, as I’ve forgotten lots of crazy mofo’s just right now…
Second option: Offer a challenge of who can deadlift more…
good one, but I prefer the 12 guage with slugs, sword, the high capcity pistol or two. a shorty AR 15 will allow head shots easy at 25 yards and has 30 round mags.
