Gotta go with a mix of rock and techno. Personal favs are Skillet, Chevelle, Day of Fire, Evanescence, Saliva, The Crystal Method, and The Chemical Brothers. . . among others. Oh yeah, and Juno Reactor.

TCM’s “Trip Like I Do” with Richard Patrick (Filter) from the Spawn Soundtrack is one of my favotire songs to lift to.
Other than that:
Static X

I couldn’t imagine lifting to Juno Reactor…too disorienting, but good listening otherwise…

The music in the gym on Ronnie Coleman’s dvd’s is my kind of workout music…ie hip hip. Dance music can be good too. Its gotta be lively and fire me up.
Sadly, too many commercial gyms play shitty 60’s and 70’s cheesy bullshit to appeal to their average, not really interested in training, but feel like they should be at the gym clientel.[/quote]
Do you know what any of the music he works out too is called? i also like this music, was wondering if anyone knew what its called so i can have a listen and download/buy. Thanks in advance
System of a down - Deer dance is my favorite right now…but really any song will work by them
Killswitch engage
Tool
Metallica
Anything that kinda makes me angry and want to lift heavy weights…
WELL when i do abs i always listen to SexyBack. Dunno why. Not really into the song… and since i never went anywhere i didnt know i needed to be brought back… but i do.
Maybe its an ab thing cause… well… folks think they are sexy.
For my REALLY hard lifts, DL, squats, bench, its the Dirty Vegas and the Brother Brown’s Bond-age “Die Another Day” remixes.
Other then that i take a lot of stuff from the Daredevil, Elektra, and Underworld movies soundtracks and various dance remixes of top 40 stuff.
Earlier Bolt Thrower albums. For those unfamiliar with Bolt Thrower–and they’re a semi-obscure band–it’s ‘grindcore,’ which is fairly similar to death metal, but self-consciously attempts to be more ‘brutal.’ Silly and adolescent though the pursuit of brutality may seem, nothing is heavier, darker, more intense than Bolt Thrower. Comparably, Slayer sounds like something little girls would listen to. If you like metal, try Bolt Thrower.
Try Rammstein sometime if you enjoy heavier beats like metal and hrad rock. I find their music works well to keep me pumped for my workouts. They’re a german death metal band and have many songs in movies, games and other things. Of course it helps to understand german, otherwise you’re enjoying the instruments only.
pantera, tool, slipknot, megadeath, stone sour, drowning pool, korn, seether, mushroomhead, korn, maybe throw in a little lincoln park, shit whatever makes that adrenaline start pumping inside me.
