i can’t neglect Tank Girl (comic book). she’s mean, sexy, funny, drunk, horny, and she fucks people up with a tank. okay, maybe she’s not a “superhero” but she did get ride of the mafia for stealing the liquor supply. that’s pretty badass
…really?
that sounds like someone that never read the comic book, only saw/heard of that stupid fucking movie with lori fucking-dumbshit-no-career-miscast petty.

yes, really.
ha ha
but, Ice-T and Naomi Watts were in it too.
And you know how we all love those “Kibbles & Bits” nipples!

If that counts, I’m choosing fighter from 8-bit.

It’s strange because usually someone mentions him and the offender gets flamed for a page or two by now.

Snorlax yo!

This just makes you a cartoon nerd.

SPAWN.

The PUNISHER:
-Not a super hero per se, but he may as well be. They guy takes on his enemies purely with wits and will. Most of his foes overpower him. I like his attitude too, which is the opposite of a guy like Batman (my main gripe with the character).
-The Punisher MAX stories are some of my favourite comics because of their tone (grimy, ‘dark’, harsh, yet rich in black humour).
-Frank Castle is a really complex character when written well. To me, it’s not that one loss that defines him (eg: Spidey and U. Ben). He was always a killer, he just needed a good reason.

Second fave:
-Yeah, he’s ‘manga’ so what, he’s a superhero
-Goku is like a metaphor for constant self improvement. He trains for the sake of training, and fights enemies to test his mettle. For him and Vegeta, winning is not as important as proving your strength.
-There are a handful of characters in the DC and Marvel universe that can do anything to him. The power levels he reaches at the end of the Freeza Saga alone are ridiculous, let alone SSJ3.
-Dude is the same guy at the end of DBZ, as he was at the start. Naive, innocent, and single-minded in his goal to be the strongest warrior in the universe. I can identify with that focus (and wish I can someday attain it).

^^
I never watched a single episode of DBZ.
Maybe I should start.

“Hither came CONAN, the Cimmerian, black-haired, sullen-eyed, sword in hand, a thief, a reaver, a slayer, with gigantic melancholies and gigantic mirth, to tread the jeweled thrones of the Earth under his sandalled feet.”

I’ve been a huge fan of conan since early childhood,as well as my father before me. I’ve read all the books and comic books. I like all the marvel and dc heroes but what attracts me about Conan is his character and epoch. He lives in a world where men live and die like real men, surrounded by beautiful women. Conan is an “anti hero” who fights and kills for what he believes in and desires. No superpowers, no high tech, no magic…just pure testosterone and muscles

another pic…just because it looks cool

I like Vegeta, but there’s been instances where he’s a straight up pussy.

Piccolo is more bad ass.

Yeah, they’ve put him in some odd situations for some reason… Maybe to spice up his laid-back nature. Who knows…

Personally, i’m a fan.

I was just bustin your balls dude.
I knew it was a matter of time before one of the “nerd” veterans showed up to point out his flaws. ha ha
But, I agree, they did put him (and others) in very strange situations as time went on.

Cool!

I kinda liked that he was a little meaner in that series…

Vegeta after the Freeza saga is straight up badass, albeit foolhardy.
I like how his character evolves during the series, from a straight up villain, to cunning warrior, to proud prince, and finally the conflicted character we see in Buu Saga.
He’s yet another metaphor for the constant struggle to surpass your betters, and the conflict between one’s ambitions and his human bonds. Definitely a more complex character than Goku, but I identify with ‘the clown’ more.

How about Rorschach for a Superhero-that-really-isn’t? He almost sounds like a wicked, twisted, fucked up blend of Batman and The Punisher (i’m basing this on your description of Punisher-i never read those or saw the movies). a mean, tough, gritty badass-killer who doesn’t take shit and doesn’t take mercy, but who has a moral code (albeit, a perverse one) where the innocent must be protected and the guilty must be dealt with harshly.
