The stack of cookies is actually the best time to then do bodybuilding pump work.
Very srs, the cookies won’t get you a compound lift PR, but they will help with spiking the pump stuff up.
I’ve done it using French fries and doing giant super sets.

Sometimes I just forget. They got lost in the process. I was so jazzed to get the flour perfectly browned that I just ran right past the green beans.

I dunno. I’ve been trying to go with smaller portions for a while. My average cals burned has been kinda low, and I noticed that workdays had become party time with my “eating buddy”.
We went from wiping out a couple 8 balls, a case of beer & a ½ gallon of jim beam when we were younger to crushing an x-tra large pizza with pep, hot sausage, bacon & banana peppers, a whole steak & whole italian hoagie.
Recreational stuff is not the only thing I can abuse!

See, this is why you (I!) need the veggies. Someone (@antiquity maybe?) said upthread that he needs to chew for thirty minutes to feel satiety, and that perfectly describes me. I also require a feeling of fullness that I can’t get from my allotted calories’ worth of protein alone.
I’m looking back, and it wasn’t @antiquity, he’s not a veggie lover. Ah, here it is:
Unlike most here, I don’t seem to get any gas issues and I go through a head of it every 2-4 days. The crunch is great and satisfies my need to chew for 30 mins straight to feel satiated
I can and do eat cabbage without issue, but the thirty minutes thing is spot on for me. I need volume, and I get cranky with too many days in a row of low vegetable consumption, e.g. travel, where even if there’s a vegetable side, it’s less than a half cup or so. At home I’m probably eating 2-3 cups at dinner. I may or may not have any at lunch, but sometimes I eat a giant salad with protein every day. There are never any negative consequences.

Really speaks to the same dopamine centers lighting up irrespective the source. And it shows how much more dangerous “food addiction” can be. You aren’t surrounded by cocaine all the time (typically), but f**k man, you go to Home Depot to buy a hammer and they have candy bars at the checkout. WHY would I buy a candy bar at Home Depot?

No, the point is, if he (or anyone) is going to eat a stack of cookies, the best thing to do then is pump work.
I’m not saying “hey, go eat some cookies because that will jack you up” all I’m saying is IF you are going to do that, make it count.
I did it after the wife made French fries, there they were, enticing me, I ate a couple handfuls and did pump work, it was great.
I don’t normally eat that shit. I’ve been pre-diabetic before myself.

Those “energy substrates” wouldn’t be available for quite some time post consumption. How do they lend themselves to producing a pump? Genuinely curious to hear your reply. What is pump work for?
There’s no better time to get your azz in gear and just do that pump work after you have “fuked up” and eaten some garbage.
People put stuff off all the time, that’s not going make progress. Why wait till later, do that now, then do something else later.
Pump work is light weights you can push out 100reps on, but you wanna stop at 60 reps really.
But what does the pump do? It doesn’t build muscle at all… doesn’t “push nutrients into the muscle”…
