I was put off by the early Naruto. In fact it’s for the same reason I very nearly stopped watching/reading Bleach. It came across as too childish. Of course, the Soul Society Arc started at this point and it really picked up.
This is where it really picked up for me.

Actually I also thought naruto was childish when I first started watching it but for me it picked up during the forest of death and invasion of konoha. While for others it became interesting at shippuden,I could only find an amv of where I got hooked, Orochimaru And The First, Second Hokage VS Sarutobi, The Thi - YouTube
I’m going to make an effort to force myself through those first episodes again. From what I’ve heard, Naruto is definitely worth watching/reading.

Spawn is my fav comic… I have issue 1-63 and then some others too. They were worth more when the movie came out so I have kept them and hope someday they will go up in value.[/quote]
I’m a fan of the character by art alone but my soon to be brother in law is big on it so I’d like to read some of the stories, got any good story arcs to recommend? I hate reading issues that aren’t contained within a a limited number of comics.
